Rare Trades Question

So as we know as of recent update Rare Trades have be adjusted so you cannot buy unlimited suppliers of a particular rare commodity.
Well does this mean you have a limit of 20 units(general consensus) of a particular item, say Eleu Thermals, or does it mean a total of 20 rare com. in your hold?

I only ask as I like trading these and have a decent jump range so can jump from one rare trading station to another, but if i can only hold 20 in total then this will not really be viable.

Total in your hold, consensus seems to be around 15-20 before they wont sell you more.

As near as I can figure the net effect of it is that effectively a trader has an allocation. Think of it like the person selling the rare goods will only let you buy 5 of them before you come back and trade other goods.
Like those places that say "Only two iPhones per person on launch day" etc...
So when you buy them there's no longer any point in waiting around until the store refreshes.
Instead you have to go somewhere else and buy other rares and sell them.
It seems to me that you have to full your hold with different rares from different systems and then go find somewhere to sell them.
Might be wrong on this, but as of the CR2M+ I made last night it seems to be about right.

This in an overall look. If it works like that then it's not really worth it in a money since. You can make a lower amount of credits quicker. So in the same amount of time it took you to do all the finding and traveling of rares. You could make a lot more trading regular commodities. I think it is not a very good balance like that. If you spend all that time trying to work the "rare" market. It should be way worth it. That would balance better. If you want to sit there and wait an hour for the stuff to spawn and then travel 150ly then that is already balanced. Well I have not done any rare goods actual trading so im trying to make since of it all right now and see if it is going to be worth the time. Is it? Or is the balance so far off that trading regular is better?

7-16 is typically what you will get. You will know when the Supply field goes blank with no more available. The solution is to fly to more RC systems say a dozen in a continuous loop with two groups 6 each 160ly away.

You can easily get over 100 tonnes of rare commodities in your hold, but for any particular commodity the amount is restricted.
The quota varies between 1t and 20t.
7t, 8t, 14t and 16t are quite common max amounts per item.

Agreed. I have 55 tons of different rares in my hold at this very moment.
