Let there be:
- voice packs (the current voice must have been introduced just to make us wish we could buy alternate voice packs)
- custom cockpits (maybe we'll get some more believable "window frames" for cockpits than the T7 wrought iron sticks that couldn't possibly hold any glass)
- camera drones (for external views and screen shots)
- space ship sound packs (so we can replace the nasty satanic sounds from the Hauler)
- custom hyper jump animations (ala music visualizer packs, to get rid of 'witch space' my 4y old daughter calls it "molded fries with dirty ketchup flying")
- bobble heads for those who also drive with a chain with a cross dangling from the review mirror and a hat covering a roll of toilet paper in the rear...
- decals (generic would do for a start. later you should let players upload a graphic in a certain size/format and approve anything not offensive)
- Access to a ship wash (so we can get those horrible windows cleaned on Cobra and various other ships)
- Glowy Space jellyfish pets (following your ship around - yes, a way to introduce pets early, before you even get people walking around)
In FD's cash store
We all know you need money, or you wouldn't have rushed the game out like this. So get that store going.
Paint jobs we can't see in space are a poor sell. And you're not letting us look at the ship exteriors to "preserve immersion"...I read? Since anyone whose immersion would be disturbed wouldn't need to use that feature, it seems a little heavy handed, no?
And if you're going to be such a stickler for "immersion", why not make the cockpit struts holding the glass a bit more believable in some of your ships...?
