enemy FSDing away

when are our great Frontier Guys fixing the bug? it was fixed and reintroduced again, finding a pirate in one out of 50 USS is stupidity expontent 100, but when the enemy just jumps away on the first hit and surge detected and 5 4 3 2 1s wooosh, its just rofl. When any other ship is close to the player (even if its friendly) it takes forever to jump, I can not even take out the enemy FSD subsystem that fast...

You could try getting a Wake Scanner. I've never used one so I'm not sure how reliable it is or if you can even chase NPC's down with it :p

Wake Scanners work but if you are doing pirate hunting missions like "kill x pirates in y systems" then the kills don't count unless they jump to one of the systems mentioned. A bit daft but they'll probably fix that eventually.

I hope so, that freaking annoys me.

Wake scanner work fine for tracking regular NPC's but you'll need a KWS as well as they usually jump to Anarchy systems.

Some special NPCs you find at USS are merchants that offer to buy your goods, those ALWAYS jumped away at first sign of hostility in my experience.

I think they are supposed to.

Or you talking pirates?

NVM you clearly mean pirates, though the first hit mention really reminds me of those NPC
