Have to clame a bounty with EMPIRE. um, where is that? looked all over galaxy map?

Go to galactic map, go to view, change the show by colour to allegiance. It's the red dots

If you still can't find it, search in the navigation tab for "Achenar" you can't go there, but you'll see all the empire systems around it for dozens of lightyears

Go to the galaxy map, under "view", then "map", under "show by color" deselect all but empire. Zoom out a bit, you should be able to pick out the cloud of red. Note that there are sometimes isolated systems closer by -- the main "cloud" is 100 LY from my current position, but there is one isolated system (Liaedin) only about 70 LY from me.

Go to view in the galaxy map and deselect all but empire in the factions bit.

You will then only see empire systems and just go to the one nearest you.

In Station Services under Contacts I check all three options there to:
Collect bounty from Faction, Pay off my oops hits on Police in hot fights, illegal goods etc.

I have about 80k in bounties to claim in Empire but i'm thinking i'll never see it unless I can be bothered to fly all the way over there.

Are there no embassies we can visit locally? :)

Depends where the game dropped you off to start and where you went from there. If I recall the closest empire system to the regular newbie starting point is around 70 ly. There are a few red systems peppered in the Federation/Indep blob, before you reach empire proper. Just switch off all other colors to see them. And ofc even Fed/Indep systems might have a station with imperial sub factions running it, check your system view. Only the station/outpost you land on needs to be serving the empire, not the entire star system.

I had this problem until I decided to move to a location near all three factions, which makes it easier for me to claim bounties. I agree with you there needs to be a better way to collect bounties from whatever system you are in.

Depending where you are, empire space or even a single empire planet could be 100s of LYs from you. As someone suggested, changing your galaxy map to show faction colors will significantly assist you in locating an Empire planet.

Another thing to add, when I had my Viper, I actually bought a hauler and kitted it's FSD out so I could turn in bounties, such as Empire, easier. The 24ly jump range made it an easier, no-refuel needed journey that my Viper couldn't do, when I would turn in my Empire bounties some 100ly away.

Someone in this thread told me to turn off all the other factions in the galaxy map except for empire, which is red. If I'm not mistaken, the red is PRISON or something like that and the only name I see which even resembles EMPIRE is IMPERIAL which is a yellowish green of some sort. with that being the only one on I can't find ANY imperial around for what seemed to be the entire galaxy. I don't see a red box for empire.

What am I missing here lol? I know how to use the galaxy map pretty well and I seriously can't find an empire system.

Try harder, there is a LOT of Empier systems out there :)

And remember that the galaxy map is 3D, if you're in the Federation or Alliance at the moment try looking down from the default view angle.
