Ship Loss Mega Thread

Could we merge all of the "I just lost <x> ship and <y> credits because..." threads into one? I feel it fair to provide an outlet for the frustration, however it seems that the main page is rife with the same issue from different people. Let's get a support group going.

I'd just like to add that if you can't afford it, don't fly it! ;-)

Only ship I lost (since Gamma) was a Type-6 recently to a really weird bug: I was docking and about to enter the docking 'cage' when I get an odd warning. I was told that I was pad loitering before I was even in the station then a second later I crash into nothing and explode. It's like what I was seeing was not where the game thought my ship was. Unfortunately I had nearly 500k of cargo but on the plus side I could afford to buy the ship back on insurance so didn't lose millions.

Type-7 with full load of cargo, under the re-buy limit because I'd just upgraded to type A FSD. A player coming out of a station was impatient and I got stuck in the enterance - about 28 mil gone.. back to a sidewinder.

I'm OK with my losses, but here goes.

Ship 1: Hit boost button when deploying gear, creating fiery mess and left the splattered remains of about 500K of cargo on the station wall. Now, gear always goes down prior to entry. I think there was about 2 ohno seconds prior to impact.

Ship 2: Got my cobra rammed to bits by an asp, again while carrying a full cargo load. Not sure why I decided to engage. I could have run, but stupidly decided not to. I guess you could say the other guy got "rammed in his asp", but my guess would be that he didn't feel a thing. Pretty sure he just laughed at my misfortune.
