Sucks but sounds like a very late disengage, that's still in the game and has killed me before. If not ticket it and they should be able to sort you out eventually.

Pay the insurance and keep on trucking in the mean time no biggie, unless you were flying dirty then my sympathy vanishes......!

Weird accidents happen occasionally IRL that don't go well for people, especially worse if they have no insurance for whatever reason, but they have to deal with them regardless. Try and get things sorted via a ticket, but if that doesn't happen (i.e. it was still your fault for being uninsured), then take it on the chin and try again if you want, but I bet you'll have learned from it either way ;)

If there is a legitimate bug, talking about it solves nothing. Posting about it on the forums solves nothing. Do you really expect the devs to trawl through a myriad of posts on the forums just to find possible bugs in the game? No, they gave you a direct line through which to file bug reports so they can be solved swiftly and efficiently for everyone experiencing the game, not just you. This isn't about you. Posting your own thread about it on the forums is quite literally a waste of everyone's time. Your solution is a ticket for ship replacement in a bug report about the possible problem. This is the bottom line cold hard fact of the matter. I explained your thread for what it is, trollbait - because people ARE going to troll useless and redundant threads like this one. You can give me all the bad rep you want for that, but it doesn't change the facts - it doesn't change the fact you're doing it wrong, it doesn't change the correct method for getting results, and vexatiously giving me bad rep for saying as much just demonstrates you as weak and childish. So give me all the bad rep you want if it makes you feel better, but that won't solve your problems either.

if its safe disengage then it should be safe not inside the wall.
even if i didnt hit it early. its always a default distance. and i have never gone any closer than the default distance at drop off

but as far as i have looked there is nothing in the game saying about the disengage actually allowing you to drop off closer if you wait.
and also i have tried doing this before (i dont know who hasnt) especially during those beta days.

actually i just tried doing this min ago i have waited all the way till the end of the "safe disengage" and it just dropped me at normal distance as if i haven't done so before..

and i always hit it as soon as i see it anyways.

but anyways it doesnt matter i ticketed it i know its a bug. its up to them now.

i appreciate you talking to me like an adult all alot of people seem to think i just joined the game yesterday or something lol.

i posted this after the ticket, and i posted it asking what people thought about it.
i didnt whine. im not rageing at the forums, and im not in here to fight.
YOU got the impression i was.
so if its so pointless to post on here, why are you posting thats its pointless on a "pointless" post?

and btw im not doing it "wrong" im only doing it "wrong" in your selfish view.

now ever since i posted this got very helpfull comments saying that the support usually fixes this, and it helped me deal with my frustration.

No problem. Having managed several forums over the years, I've seen most of the tripe people post, even been guilty of it myself in the past when goaded enough. I'm of the opinion that if you don't have anything worthwhile to say or contribute, don't bother.

i was just looking if anyone else had this problem and got it solved, and kinda frustrated at the same time.
but maybe next time ill just look it up on google. cause now im more frustrated than before lmao, with these people.

Yeah I've run into this bug on occasion. The 'center' of the station is in the middle of the docking bay, so with some of the particularly long stations the 'safe' 10km zone where it drops your ship can leave you interpenetrating the far end of the station, with unfortunate consequences.

Hopefully they'll either move the station centerpoint or increase the safe radius to 12-15km or something.

This still doesn't sound like a bug ... it's only the same as certain trinary systems that if you don't throttle down before you enter them then you end up exploding into the star.

I believe this is the 'dangerous' part of the game. (the rest of the game is pretty safe)

the number of people who go without insurance cover then come here moaning cos it didn't work is astounding! Bug or not... your fault.

yeah, its just such a different game.
i mean i have a job and a life. retracing my two week steps isnt very appealing to me.
if i cant get my ship back, then ill just wait till the expansions. cause going back and forth 1000 times isnt that fun when doing it again.

It's nothing to do with the distance when you can safely drop out. 1000km to 30km is exactly the same.

Manually dropping out is more random.

It IS to do with the entry point in relation to the station. I've hit a station dropping out at 900km because I approached its backside and it was an Orbis or an O'neil. It is a bug, it's quite obvious.

i really love this game, but now i have not a single incentive to play. i mean i lost it to a bug, how do i know this wont happen again. i worked more than two weeks for hours to get to my type 7 and got it destroyed by a bug.

and yes i know i was riding dirty with no insurance but that was a responsibility i am willing to take, but i got it destroyed by a bug, and this isnt beta anymore.

eh im burned out. ill see you guys at the expansions like ship interiors, planetary landings ect.

I didn't even get as far as you before I burned out. Waiting for Planetary landings. Might play here and there but I think I will just chill till they add Planetary Landings. I can't believe this bug is still present. I came out Right on top of the station a couple of times and almost had a Heart attack.
