how do I find a my bounty I'm hunting?

When I got the mission they told me 3 systems to look for them. I went to all 3, and 2 of them are nothing but a sun. One of them has a nav beacon, and a good bit of activity. I waited and scanned people, and watched a few battles, but never saw my bounty. Any advice?

Go to USS's in one of the systems eventually someone will tell you which of the three systems, go to it and go to more USS's until you find home, then kill him and return to the station you got the job at.

Ok I found a USS, and it was a black box. Is that what I'm looking for, and what would I do to get info from it?

I know this is newb stuff...but I went to the area of another USS...and it said my contract was updated. I know this must be what you were talking about, but I can't find any updated info in the transaction screen or anywhere else.

No, you will just keep checking uss until you find a lone ship - probably an added or hauler - usually they will hail you on your comms with a message like "did you hear? That crazy..." After they are done you will get a contract updated alert. If you didn't catch it from his comms then check your transactions and it will be updated for the correct system. Go there and enter more uss. I find it's usually the 2nd or 3rd uss I get what I want. Whether that's the civilian telling me where to go, or the anaconda I need to kill

Check your transactions tab (on your left) the mission will now only have one system instead of three.

Ohhhh ok I found my bounty...it looked like an Asp...and she kicked my butt. HA I went to make repairs and will go look for it again. You think I can win in a viper? lol
