Dear Developers!

I am really really angry!

Since I already played the 1984 Elite I am a bit older, which means that I have a Job und and a family and for that only small time to play Elite Dangerous. After X-mas I reserved some time off to play ED. Like in the first game I am a trader und explorer so I save money by travelling from station to station in order so get the Explorer later. This takes time.

Yesterday in encountered your great trading buck which lost me a full load leaving only a bit cash left. 5 hours for nothing!

Today a spent another 5 hours trading the money back. Unfortunately one time I somehow missed to get landing permission which I realized by entering the gate. Asking for it inside - no chance - which left me with 10 seconds to leave the station: How is one supposed to do that!? So I got shot by exiting with 1 sec left and another full load ist gone leaving me with insurance reserve and thats about it! Another 5 hours gone.

What kind of stupid idea is that: Death penalty for parking tickets!? I didn`t trade forbidden goods, didn`t attack someone, just forgot the permission one time and there is no chance (maybe if I had spent another 10 hours on the internet I might have known how to avoid it, but I don`t have time for this).

People are spending time playing this game! If the game ist bad, okay, 50 bucks for nothing. But 10 hours lost becaus of a buck and a stupid death penalty isn`t funny any more. I could have spent this lost time with my sons and my wife. Thank you for that.

I understand you are frustrated now but I would hope you enjoyed yourself for most of these ten hours and the bad experience at the end should not have invalidate your earlier fun?

What was your problem the first time around? Did you lose those 5 millions due to a bug? If so, ticket it and you will be reimbursed the credits when they get to your ticket in the next days.

For the second incident, I hate it when that happens, but when it does it is solely my own fault and it does get the heart going :)
You can always log out in those 10 seconds if you don't mind the immersion break.

Hang on while I reach over for my Popcorn

You failed, you made a mistake the fault is with you not the game, we've all been there, learn from it and move on.

Well, I don't know what your problem was, but I stayed single and without children up untill now. I got all the time in the world to play :D

My wife asks me if its ok if I pause or if its a multiplayer game. If you marry correctly its not so bad. My kid keeps wanting me to play minecraft with him, ugh .....

should hae read the forums about all the issues before playing it helps. Otherwise all i can suggest is put it away for say a week, devs are back fixes coming might make it better

If you smash into your garage door with your car because you forgot to hit the garage door opener first, is that the garage door companies fault?

As to the lost cargo bug just submit a ticket, theyll fix that.

Yes it is, because the garage door company did not realize that some idiot would be driving and operating a single button at the same time. They should have implemented a red, flashing light whenever the operator is within 50 yards of said garage door.

LOL

You just blamed a computer game for you not spending time with your family.

Drop what you're holding, roll that office chair back a yard or two, and then have a long hard thought about your priorities.

If you don't come to the conclusion that you really need yo get your "head out of the machine", i would strongly urge you to seek help.

Many of us lost something with server problems and yes it is annoying but not exactly unheard of in online gaming.
You have my sympathy on that score.
.
Loitering is punished harshly more for the sake of others than as some arbitrary punishment
It is there to stop us as players passively griefing by using loitering to restrict others gameplay by blocking entrances, pads etc
It is a hard lesson but one that is the pilots to learn, the game is what it is.
.
As far as your family, only you decide how much family time to sacrifice in order to play. It is a personal choice and one I have had to make when my son was a child.
But in no way would I ever consider blaming a games developer for ruining my family life, that is entirely my choice.

The only person to blame for how you choose to spend your time, is you. Take responsibility for your own decisions. If you consider the time badly spent, then make a different decision next time, but don't blame anyone else for your choices. That's just childish.

Now go and tell your wife and kids and all the good folk on this forum that you are sorry and you are a muppet and you messed up. Im sure they will forgive you and so will we...
