When docked go into 'galaxy map' > 'View' tab > select 'Map' > clear all check-boxes and select the 'Personal Weapons' check-box.
That will show you all personal weapons going to and from stations in your area.
If you see nothing then you need to buy trade data for the surrounding systems. If nothing sows up you need to fly to a different set of systems and try again.

Have same issue, tried the map, nothing, even those stations that say they export personal weapons don't have any, checked planets and stations within 100 ly from where I got the mission, came up blank, abandoned the mission, gone exploring in the hope that I stumble across some, then buy and return, think this might be a minor bug, why give a mission that you cant complete within the given time, not concerned will keep looking. Good luck with yours though.

Why folks take missions they do not know if they can complete???

Search for dictatorships. They usually export nasty things
Try Neto and while there they sell cargo capacity 16
