I've had this happen two or three times over the past week.
I am in hyperspace for maybe about 30 seconds up to a minute. I've always dropped out at my destination but I was starting to wonder if the game had froze.
Not a regular thing my any means, but it is a new thing that is happening.

I hope when they come, they do something more than flying saucers. The nostalgia is generally very good in ED, but I feel it would be a mistake not to modernize the thargoid crafts somewhat.

Although, my internet is slow. VERY slow. like 1mb/s slow...
Anyways, Hyperspace is literally just a loading screen for the next system (instance) so if you are experiencing longer than usual "loading" times, or Hyperspace jumps, I would have to say that its related to that. Either server side problems or slower than normal loading times on your end. Anything can affect loading speeds when, even in solo play, you are playing off of a server and have to load or upload data to and from your PC.

I have a very good connection and a good system and it's a new problem, but I won't pretend to understand these things. All my other games seem fine though still.
The longest i've been stuck in hyperspace, and still arrived in my destination, was a good few minutes. Felt like I was in Babylon 5 style hyperspace and wished I could veer off and explore the depths of it.
There was also one time back in early Beta 3 when I got stuck indefinitely (spent nearly 10 minutes waiting) with nothing to keep me company but the glitched sound of someone calling me on the in-game voicecomms (the ringtone). So just imagine being stuck in hyperspace with your ships phone ringing the whole time. Maybe aliens were trying to call me?
