Sorry but I like the Adder

I loved my adder, cant wait till I've made a few mil, and can afford to run one as a second ship. Reminds me of Miss Gay Deceiver from Heinleins Number of the Beast.

You may have just saved an OCD life. Thank you for your service.:D

Gald to be of service, I've a soft spot for the Adder, I spend a lot of time in one exploring and mining when I tire of pirate hunting - I always feel quilty when I explode one, like I just kicked a puppy.

Just like the Sidey and the Eagle It's a great little second ship for pottering arround having fun in - the low insurance cost means you can do all sorts of things you normally wouldn't.

Now just how close can I get to a super giant star? I'm packing the beer fridge and off to Antares tonight!

Im a Hauler guy. My bro had an Adder with 26T cargo and im sat here with a 18T Hauler and I already have a Cobra, Type 6 fully tricked out because of and he never breaks past 300k

Since the first time I saw the Adder in the shipyard I knew I'd buy one. Overall stats are better than a sidewinder (no downside shown), I like the way it looks and it has a cool name (as in, you can only add things to an Adder). But now I'm wondering if I should buy a Hauler first for cargo purpose or just wait for those 30k more credits and go straight for the Adder...

I also like the Orca, for some reason.

I got the Hauler first - 8t of space, made trading much easier. Although, lesson learned here, plot your path AFTER you have cargo'd up. I did have a nice pathway for reasonable profits on a 9ly run, but fully loaded I could only do 8.xx ly - most annoying.

I would think so but the wiki has it as an explorer

Same with the Asp, and while it does do exploration well, it has been the best multi-purpose I have come across to date.
My group has been raving over the Adder, it is amazing for its price.

I've bought an Adder and love it, apart from those overhead lockers getting in the line of sight, but it needed a few upgrades. When I'm rich I'll buy a coffin (Fer de Lance) and a Krait for joyrides; assuming they make them.

I was really attached to my Adder. I sold her for a Cobra. I miss the bus with a flat tyre noise, but not the lack of view from the window :D

Just bought my Adder tonight, what a beauty she is !
A bit disappointed by her initial cargo space but I sold the weapons and shield and back to 10T I was.
Now I'm going to make some profit before outfitting her like the champ she is. Yes she is !

I am not sure I agree that its on the 'explorer' route because of the window but as a general purpose it seems pretty nice.

moreover, it seems to be what dignitaries would want to ride in when being taxi

I like it on the inside, I like its specs and handling, I don't even mind it on the outside as a generic ship..... But an adder it is not. Its the only reimagined ship in the game IMO which is not in the spirit of the originals.

There are three things i like about the adder.

1: It looks like a raptor from the newish Battlestar Galactica
2: The engine noises are cool and remind me of the LAAT/i Republic gunships from Star wars.
3: It's a surprisingly decent rare goods trading ship

It seems these days many criminals also seem to prefer Adders in my experience. I dont mind the Adder per se, its just the fact it doesnt look anything like an 'Adder' that I mind.

It looks a damned sight better than the old "TV remote control" design it had in previous incarnations

I liked the Adder back when I was flying one. Reminds me of the Space Shuttle.
Also, the sound it produces while braking frightened me a bit the first time.
Going to get one again some day.
