Cargo Ship Jump Ranges

I am looking to find out which ships I should buy after my hauler for jump ranges for cargo up to no more than 25-30 units. The Adder was close with more cargo and slightly less jump range if I bought the 500k FSD. Would the Type 6 be next on my list if I could afford it? I am looking to reduce the amount of 15-20k jumps and cut down on the amount of time I spend puddle jumping. I attempted to find out what the ranges on ships were with the best FSD and lightest gear, but couldn't find much.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure there is a "highest LY possible" because of the various ways of building.

But, if it helps, a Cobra with an A4 managed ~18 ly, and an Asp with an A5 managed about 27ly. Depends on what else you're carrying, of course.

Never owned a T6.

With T6 100t + shield cargo I have 19.83ly full cargo and 32.21ly emty cargo. Now I`m making one more mil to get a ASP.

Sounds like there isn't much for a ship that gets 25-30ly with a full load. Interesting how they are all around 18-ish LY with full.

The Adder can jump 21LY (21.13) with 26 cargo, 32.82 unloaded.
The Cobra can jump almost 22LY (21.98) with 60 cargo, 28.46 unloaded.
The Type-6 can jump 20LY (20.07) with 112 cargo, 32.81 unloaded.

And the Winner by lightyears:

The Asp can jump 27LY (27.16) with 128 cargo, 37.84 unloaded.

Stripped Version = Rating D smallest Class that fits, no shield, all cargo slots, reduced gas tank, Rating A best class FSD.

You cannot boost because the distributor is too small, which is good and bad. You are very lightweight empty and no shield full with low-powered thrusters..... but these are the MAX and MINs

Well, it looks like the Cobra is my next ship then the ASP considering I don't need the cargo of the Type-6. That and if in the slim chance I do get interdicted, the Cobra has a better chance of evading/surviving.

I just find it odd that there is no real ship that can jump further than the rest. An explorer of sorts. They all seem to basically be around the same, just more cargo/gun slots.

Huh? Are you reading the posts in the thread? Its the "ASP explorer", it can jump more than 30 ly...

37 Ly is still SOOO little, considering we are flying in 3300. Would really the hyperspace tech be so hard to improve upon once discovered and mass produced?

Get an ASP

btw, that 37LY jump distance.. properly equipped.. can jump over 380LY on a tank of gas without scooping for fuel.

160LY using max jump range.. but, with a mix of 12-15LY jumps you can go reeeallllllyyyyyy faaaaaaarrrrrr......... like really far on a tank. ANd then add an A3 scoop... drive around the milky way in a race.. you want an asp.

30 LY is nothing. I meant something like 80 LY on a single jump. The galaxy is quite large.

I have noticed that an 18 LY jump takes considerabally more fuel than a 13LY or so jump. Might have to look into that.

Simple answer. ASP.

Yep, my new goal. Cobra then ASP.
