Why so much negativity?

The game has been out for little over a week and there seems to be so much negativity towards it.

Sure there have been some bugs but if you compare it to watchdogs or assassins unity, which were launched by a supposedly triple A developer then this game came out in perfect condition, people forget that this is a crowd funded project and a labour of love to those involved in its creation, if you think that for 1 second Frontier Developers are not looking into the reported issues then I feel sorry for you.

This is not a cash cow created just to make money, such as Halo master chief collection which launched with the buggiest non playable multi-player known to man, this is the game that David Braben and his team dreamed of creating as kids and they are no where near finished in there task, there is so much more to come, just give them some time.

people need to stop focusing on the negatives and look at the beautiful sandbox we have been blessed with, and to all those that are getting bored I say this is down to you and not the game as it is an open world and what you do is up to you, some of these people may need to try to get a little more creative with there game play.

The people who shout the loudest are the ones who are upset. It's a bit like the news. It only shows you the depressing stuff and you end up thinking the whole world is like that. Another way of looking at it is that there are a lot of players, and you can't please everyone.

its almost as if the neg heads are suffering from a collective amnesia and have forgotten every other major game release that had teething troubles, if you read the initial reviews of Eve online it got panned by many many sites but that's still around after a dozen or so years.

games like this need content added after release, its not the sort of title that hits retail then is forgotten by the developers as they move on to the next title in the series.

+1. Have some rep.

I agree. I have been having loads of fun and I am generally just messing about. The thing that strikes me the most about ED at the moment is that I set out to do something when I jump in and then the game distracts me in some way and I end up doing something entirely different. Lovin' it.

Try to ignore them... it's hard, trust me, even I can't help the old dabble into their threads, but generally they do just need to be ignored.

There are a handful of people here who's posts consist of nothing more than bashing the game and bashing people who enjoy the game... unfortunately these people have way too much time on their hands, and can't really enjoy the great outdoors as they seem to be stuck glued to their computers trying to annoy everyone here. Not much of a life - and to those people, it's best they are reported and ignored.

As for the negativity... again, it's a vocal minority. They will ignore all the launch disasters of other games, ignore the fact that this game had a very smooth launch, and nit-pick at the most silliest of things.

Just enjoy the game, and ignore the haters. They'll soon move on to other games where they can troll elsewhere. It's not too much of a concern.

Thank goodness this did not turn into a hate thread :)

Even the juggernauts off MMO history mess it up just look at the mess Blizzard made of the WoW Warlords of Draenor and to think our little crowd funded project works the way it does is just a technical marvel for the current game industry standards

nicely put

People who shout the loudest do it because they cannot face the truth, they just have huge mouths and a huge head and no substance in between.

If you find this offends you because you complain all the time, think about all the people who are sick and tired of you complaining about nothing on this forum.

Down with doom and gloom, Up with Laughing gas and party poppers......

It takes very few people to create negativity on an internet forum. One person if they are busy and determined can create a controversy.

Well I think the reason is that much like when your favorite book becomes a TV series or a game, you will have certain preconceptions and an imagination of how it should be and would be.

Then it gets made and it does not meet your expectations, and you'll feel disappointed and more often than not a little angry.

Point being, some people expected more or expected something different than what they got. Some imagined it differently, and were sad to see it not live up to their idea of how it should be.
This is all understandable and there's nothing wrong with that, but some people will take it a bit too far and get a little too angry about it.

I admit the game didn't entirely live up to my expectations either, but I'm still enjoying it and as a patient man will give them a year or so to get it closer to what I expected. Closer to the game I pre-ordered in my mind.

I highly doubt anyone is truly angry about a few bugs, bugs that get fixed every patch or two are no reason to hate the game.
