Get your fat Asp off the landing pad.

Oh give it up.

I play as a trader in open to enhance the game for pirates. Without traders there is no piracy, without piracy there are no bounty hunters,

I've got missions to complete.

It's got nowt to do with my game and a helluva lot to do with your/other's game(s).

Yup, can't move for bounty hunters and pirates at the outposts. Oh no, wait, they're parked in your spot :-D
In all seriousness, just pop into and out of solo. It's no biggy.

Can you damage them on the pad?

Just keep teabagging them, those Asp repair costs...

Guess I could try, I got mass on an asp, anything that can land on a medium pad really I outweigh. What can I say I like big posteriors and my ago has a very nice one...

Yeah I know but I go into solo to circumvent this thing and then I forget I'm there and spend the next six hours in solo wondering why I don't see
any Cmdrs.

It's not that it's a big deal per se, it's just a pain in the Asp when it continually happens.

It's not a big problem but I'd hate to lose me to solo when open needs all the lurve it can get.

am I the only person who thought of the "whop whop that asp is too fat" meme. ether that or I am very tired.

Is this paints job make my asp look fat? :p

Yes you're very tired Alice.

Everything makes an Asp look fat especially when the owner has shuffled off to get a Chinese at the local takeaway leaving his/her fat Asped ship
hogging the landing pad.

Ultimately I guess there is no answer other than to not play so wasted that these things become an issue.

I promise not to get in this state again... until tomorrow.

well I have been up sense 8pm yesterday, its now 10pm today. so goodngiht

When you log in, you come in a solo instance, even in open till you jump (not sure if an actual hyper jump or just into SC, the last I think) otherwise you could not log in if the pad you logged out on was occupied.

On the other hand, you could try and solve the clogagge with a pack of dumbfire missiles? ;)
I for one was tempted to do that before I frequent outpost's too, lucky for me my neck of the stars is not to populated, but like I said, if your tired of the asps, I can park my python there for you and let me tell you, that baby got back.... :p

Do you have any confirmation of this via dev statements? Not being difficult, just that I have logged in and sent launch command and encountered play ships in the instance as soon as I reach the deck. The understanding of the vast majority of us since I started in beta has been that entering the hanger removes you from the instance. I have landed on pads where I've seen a ship go down into hanger but not leave. The reason you can exit if somebody lands on your pad (while you ar ein the hanger) is because you are put into a new instance....

I think that sounds right, about the instance. Anyone care to do some in the field tests and report in on whether hangar entry clears the pad for use?

I can't recall where I read this or if it was on one of the videos about staying in solo. I know when coming to a station and an NPC is docked on the medium pad, I request docking and the type 6 or asp NPC comes out of the hangar and leaves, then I can try and dock again.

@ faoul, any time my friend. Shoot me a mail on the forum when you got time, you know how the come still are ;)
