Second Ship: Viper

Hey all,

So since Frontier Elite 2 I have ALWAYS just traded. I like it, its fun and I like seeing credits pile up. So thats what I been doing since Beta. Got over 100million credits and got an Anaconda, only for the server to be wiped :/ Anyway since Gamma I did the same, although not with the same intensity. Got up to a Lakon T6 plus another 2million credits. Decided to park the T6 and get a Viper and kit it out and try some hunting. Man its the best thing I've ever done. I enjoy trading and will certainly keep using the T6 when my fines make me lose money but the fun of flying the Viper is tremendous. I think that a lot of us mainly trade to get cash and buy better ships but I really think by just grinding away we are missing out on a lot of fun. So I say park your trading ship and kit out a viper and go play!

I must say, Viper has brought the fun factor back.
I tour extraction points, and USS encounters just off a black market outpost.
If I get flagged as wanted I just jump out, dock pay the fine.
If I find military plans or juicy cargo left in space, i pickup, jump, dock and sell.
Ok it's not as profitable as trade but 99% more fun.

I just would like to see more combat orientated missions for the system you are in.
It seems there is next to no way to shift reputation as a combatant without leaving the system.

if you have the money go for it, but if not then never buy a viper stock, NEVER !

the best way to use a Viper is to first use a Cobra, do a lot of trading till you have between 1 million and 2 million, then if you can go back to a Viper, but at this point you would be more effective with a Cobra anyway

Honestly do better in the viper, found the cobras hardpoints to be bad
