Listen,

I'm not sure how to launch in to this so I'll just say it. Stop complaining.
If you're bad at the game, you died, you don't like the way there are hardly any cash exploits, someone with an 'expert' tag destroyed you, etc. take a step back and realize that you're only complaining because you think there is any possibility that your complaints will be addressed within 24 hours, if at all. This game has been available for purchase for 18 days; less than three weeks. A polished, turtle-waxed game is not what you are going to find in Elite: Dangerous (yet). Instead you are going to find a hella-awesome space fighting, trading (yes it still works you tools) and exploring game that is being updated incredibly regularly.
So please relax, go exploring, shoot some stuff, do some missions, unwind the knot in your boxer shorts and just play the game. Updates are coming.

I agree with you completely, but I do understand why people feel like they should complain. People are just not realising that FD are a much smaller developer than the bigger juggernauts out there, like Bungie or Blizzard.

I've even seen people compare FD's response times to corporate giants like Amazon, which is a very unfair comparison.

And thirdly, and in my personal opinion the best reason, Elite Dangerous is one of those games you support not because of what it literally is, but because you're as in love with the idea as the Developers and want to help them grow it into something far more fantastic. To see our dedication as fans rewarded by their on-going and hugely-appreciated efforts.

That might sound a bit sickeningly sweet but I think it's true. ED has a lot of issues right now, but a lot of fans are happy to sit back because we understand that it's okay for ED to be where it is right now, because we never had impressions of it ever being a game that is one day 'finished'.

so tell me how any exploring ,fighting or trading can be done when the game does this currently?

and that's just yesterdays little bug (and today's) as well as many other problems reported and ticketed for months ,the game was rushed out for Christmas ,it will be great (I hope) but currently is short of the mark in many areas.

safe flying Cmndr :)

The main problem is people who bought the game expecting something different and now can't cope with that

They weren't led to believe it would be something else, contrary to what they claim. They also had thousands of videos on YouTube, articles and a wealth of information out there to enlighten themselves.

Those who lose their ship and then complain about it, also have no basis for complaint. Insurance is very cheap and it's automatic. It's a simple thing. If you left the station when you don't have the funds to pay the insurance, it's your own fault. Then they have the nerve to complain about it.

This has nothing to do with the game being rushed. Those experiencing issues are an incredibly small percentage of players and as always, the vocal minority on the forums. It could be as little as 1%. I'm in an IRC with nearly 200 people since launch and practically none of them have had issues. Friends who play the game have had no issues. Just because you or a vocal minority on a forum have issues, doesn't make it a serious problem or the result of a "rushed game".

Elite's launch went pretty damn well flawless. I've not experienced a single bug or issue and have played for hours every day since.

I've played games that after release were still in active development for a decade that had the same bugs a decade later. Game breaking bugs. There will always be bugs. Period. If people can't handle that they need to stop gaming.

No one was wronged. No one got screwed. No one got misled. People just need to stop projecting nonsense.

Oh I agree with you. But these people come from a 'culture' where trolling a forum till you get your way or the game 'fails' is normal, so unless the mods start banning them, we never gonna have a good forum experience

We are Human, we're sitting at a computer playing a game... We get frustrated.. We need to let of steam.... Forum Post!!

does trolling also include giving neg rep for an honest post with vid evidence ,and a hope for the future of the game?

I negged you for the way you expressed your feelings, is that a problem? You negged me in revenge so.. really?

no I gave neg you for your first comment" The main problem is people who bought the game expecting something different and now can't cope with that"

which is white knight nonsense ,I let it go without the deserved rep to start with

PS: the only feeling I expressed was hope for the games future ,and that's so negative?

So I don't see the problem, we both negged a post we found silly or offensive

Have you considered, oh I don't know, doing something else?

Congrats! There must have been no issues then.

I am envious of your non-fubarred account!

I am currently doing something else I'm on the forum, and that is suggesting I put my head in the sand and ignore any issues/faults with the game. I do not believe the game would progress very well if everyone did that.

As I said I have hopes for the game have backed it for years ,it will be great when these issues are resolved.

How have you got that I want you to ignore the issues from what I said?

I simply suggested doing something else because repeating yourself ad nauseum isn't helping you, the game or indeed anyone else. Highlight the issues of course, but what is the point of banging on and on and on, over and over again?

Just saying.

Edit: By the way, if it seems like I've singled you out, I can only apologise, that wasn't my intention.

To put things a little further into perspective, the ED Kickstarter raised under 1.6 million. GTA V cost around 170 million to make. That's less than 1% of the budget when compared.
