Ah, the winning combination. Do you even think about what you type into the little box before you hit reply? Let's deal with the truth or otherwise of your "motivational" strategy.
I have personally made a few suggestions that would, in my opinion, improve the game. I have also made a couple of suggestions that would, again in my opinion, improve the relationship between the studio and the player base. I posted them on this forum, same as other people.
I have a good reason why I don't tend to start off by griping about the status quo, that reason being that I'm not an idiot. People are all different though. If you want to persuade anyone with any power to implement the changes you want to immediately stop reading, I would suggest that a good way to achieve that would be to start off with the same whining that you've seen from the previous wally who said the same stuff ("nothing to do", "not an MMO", etc etc). As the saying goes, you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.
So, back to the "negativity and criticism breed success" slogan. Are you suggesting that my suggestions are less valid, or less valuable, or less likely to be noticed because I don't liberally cover them all with a fresh coat of moan, express them with LOTS OF CAPS or foretell the doom of the game/studio/Braben family like some neckbearded Cassandra?
I feel like you lifted that cod philosophy from some overpaid annoying sportsperson, one of those IRL trolls that makes life a little less enjoyable by merely existing. Those are the guys who have to rationalise away their own unpopularity in any way that makes sense in their own little worlds and so use it as fuel, each success powered by spite. A wonderful way to exist, I'm sure.
I prefer encouragement, positivity, and offering suggestions for improvement. Call me crazy.
