Outfitting is wack-a-mole

You should be able to not have to screw around and place orders to have items shipped to you. It's amazing theres over 9000 trading vessels yet zero of them actually transport goods to players. If I don't want to jump 10 systems to find some PoS that may or may not be there, I should be able to hire an NPC to ship my order to me for the cost of the guns + distance fee + hazard pay along with the wait time for it to arrive.

Not had any issue with the module system since they tweaked it pre release.
I have tricked out four ships and, by going to the correct type of station with high population, have not had to do any major searching for anything so far

The hunt for modules used to be so much worse and so illogical in the early stages of gamma, that by comparison I haven't really had any complaints about the current system. A few modules take a bit of searching, yes, but usually the essentials are now available in high tech systems that sell the ship you're in. Xihe has been my go-to outfitting world for much of gamma/release…

I would like to see things like stations that look different and are famous for having great outfitting etc. I know there are clues as to where you might find things but adding special places where you know there will be great things, if overpriced perhaps, would add loads to the atmosphere of the game. It's the seeming randomness that makes everything feel exactly the same. I love the game but it does feel like a complicated dice simulator at times.

Should definitely be high pop and wealthy. I've been to a tiny, poor high tech system and they had even less stuff than wealthy industrial stations.

I'm not one to correct spelling and grammar, but you really need to spell systems correctly here, else we can't do anything with that information.

he means leesti it was a typo

Maybe they could have a "space amazon" on the bulletin boards where you could just order all your parts and have them delivered! Hey they could even have a "space ebay" so we could all sit on our big fat space butts and buy and sell our space goods on that! Heck, we could maybe even buy a robot that would do that for us too, and just tell us our score when we "win"!

Yay!

If you could also opt to work for the space amazon and deliver a player his order (or perhaps choose to steal it instead) this might not be such a silly idea.

All you need is a mechanic enabling trades between players and there you have it. Delivery service.... Although that would entail module trade as will add trade goods trade...

I doubt it's the way it is coz FD couldn't think of a decent mechanic. It's the way it is coz they wanted it this way, regardless of what you, I, or anyone else think. I just happen to agree with them (on this thing at least, there's several things I don't agree with).

On the trade thing, they are being VERY careful about what we can trade to avoid exploits, people selling credits etc.

They said this somewhere? Seems like overkill. If they want to get rid of credit farmers there's better ways.

No that's an assumption, but it's better than assuming they won't let us exchange things coz they hate us. :) I think they are starting with overkill and slowly introducing things (like being able to abandon cargo, that's REALLY recent) rather than putting a bunch of stuff in then having to wind it back when it gets abused.

The one thing I have not been able to find (convinced it might not exist) are class 2 burst lasers. I want them as I like them better than beam. But can't seem to find class 2 ones anywhere. Went to about 5-6 high tech systems near Sanna.

Sorry, there is no legitimate reason I can't trade goods / loot / credits to my friends.

I had a surprisingly hard time finding D4 shields and thrusters. I had to hit up 6 different systems that I had heard had a good variety of fittings before I finally found one. There were plenty of places that had C4s, but not D4s
