I tell people not to buy this game

There's an obscene amount of quality of life improvements that need to be made.

Why does the launch animation at the dock work so slow? Tedious after 500 times.

Why do you i have to open up contacts, find the person I was scanning with my k-warrant scanner, then look into contacts, then look to see if he's got a bounty on him? Breaks immersion, tedious.

Why does the nav plotter reset to economical every time?

"Play your way." Not really, play dope wars in space and haul goods all over or make my no real progression. Combat doesn't scale at all. not like there's a purpose to getting a bigger ship anyway. The only thing it does is let you haul more cargo from X-Y. I could take my 22 mil asp to a resource collection point but after a while, clean people I didn't shoot randomly turning red to me gets a little old. And tedious. Frontier, you've really made it hard for me to stay in combat, which is what I want to do. "play your way."

There's almost 0 player interaction and no purpose to doing anything. The conflict zones sound really really exciting until you realize that its just green and red ships flying around aimlessly while you spend more money killing them than you get out of them. 3k combat bonds? what a joke. We sit on voip and play together but the only benefit is keeping the boredom at bay whlie we play Elite: Docking Simulator 2014. I got a bunch of people to buy this game, now I'm getting a bunch of clanmates not to until it's more than what should be a 30 dollar early access game on steam.

This game promised way more than it delivered, especially calling itself 'multiplayer.'

I've been enjoying the game much more after compiling my own notes for trading. But due to broken trading and other issues, I have been telling friends to wait a while before buying. FD needs to improve the state of the game before I can recommend it to anyone. Nothing since it's release has given me confidence they can or will do so.

Wow. A person unhappy with the game now = trolling. I got told to make an actual thread title because it wouldn't let me edit the one I made by accident. Now you're just sitting here bumping both of them. TBH you guys who paid a bunch of money to be founders are trolls because you treat the game like a sacred cow who nobody else is allowed to have an opinion over. Some of you really need to grow up. Hemlock I'm looking at you.

But seriously if you're that unhappy with my opinion, don't post in my thread. Take your own advice. But you won't because you're trolling me because I said something you don't like about your favorite game ever.

Ok, Thats it, we can quit folks, if he tells his friends not to buy this game fd will go down the drain, servers will be shut and all is over.

What a piti, i liked this game.
So see You in another game, if seedub allows it.

Sarcasm off!

Go and tell what You like..... nobody cares about You!

Ha! Look all you want. I was not a founder, but I gladly paid the retail cost and I am loving the game. You are not, and like most younger (guessing but bet I am right) folks you feel the need to vent. More power to you.

I meant what I told you before. If you want the game to be better, be constructive and help the devs. If not, just go away. It is simple really... you care enough to help improve the game or you dont.

You think you're being so mature. More personal attacks from you. Real mature. You're the one that is acting adolescent. Actually I want you to go away, but you won't because you are a troll. You are sitting here griefing me being the tone police.

And this, for anyone still interested, is the epitome of turn-about, unthinking, and unreasonable retort. There were no personal attacks, merely suggestions.. ones you will never consider.

When you land always "enter hangar" first then do what you need to do, speeds the take off process up a bit. Make it routine.

But you don't have any reason to enter the hanger. What you suggested actually makes stuff slower. The hanger adds an extra few seconds. When you're trading you generally don't even need to enter the hanger. The only time you enter the hanger is when you're looking for upgrades.

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=92894 See you

I don't mind docking and taking off all the time. I've taken the time to learn the rules and I can stay in combat for as long as I want or until I take dmg to the point I need to tuck and run. I wish it was a little easier to talk to other folks, but not much. This game has a ways to go and things to fix/add, but all in all I got what I expected from researching it before I jumped in.

I got tired of games that do almost everything for you. I got tired of games full of griefers that gate camp or kite with their never catch-able skill trees. I got tired of games that are just an endgame DPS race, pretending to be free but then proceeding to nickle and dime you to death. l got sick of playing MMO's that pretty much force you to join a clan or corp or fleet or whatever awful thing they called it. No thanks, I like doing my own thing. Those games weren't for me, so I found something else to play.

Clearly this game isn't for you. Good luck finding something else.

While the thread title is engineered to draw clicks, OP has a point.

There's a lot in quality of life or User Experience to be done.

The whole 'outfitting' ordeal. Sometimes I'd like to check if there are fancy modules at the station.
- I can't do that remotely
- I can't do that in the same system
- I can't do that in the station without wasting 30 seconds to get hauled inside, and another 15 to launch. Why can't we fit the ship on the launchpad?

Galaxy map. Resetting to economical. Can't see both star (realistic) and allegiance (map/color). Alliance and Empire dots are too similar, surely purple would stand out more?
Map exploration - find a system 200 Ly from your position, check out the system map. Boom. You're focused on the system you're in. What the hell. I wanted to check a system 200.5 Ly away next..
System exploration. Quickly look at the system to check if I'm scannin the right planet. [Exit]. Boom. I'm at the galaxy map, which I have never inteded to use.

Contacts and bounties. We need quick way to assess stuff, not shuffle through the UI windows. Why can't bounty be displayed in the 'combat log' window in the top right?
Then we have the 'alternative' missions.

Elite is a great game, but the UI flows need some serious work, because they didn't really think them through.
