************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Make sure you have the latest version of eliteOCR, it has a export specific to BPC.

btw. really noone does have problems with eliteOCR files? I OCR'ed 2 stations today. When i try to load the files in BPC i can't find the files, as if they have a wrong file format...

latest version just fires this at me every time I click anything :(

Code:
See the end of this message for details on invoking

I'm curious as to how variable prices actually are. Is the 48 hour timeout based on observations that data actually is not much use beyond that point? Or, is it a tactic to get people to submit data more regularly? ;)

I read it was to get rid of humbug ;)

I have been away for a while. There is no return route profit anymore in the tool..
Or do I need to change something in the settings?

Excuse me my bad english. Slopey, thank you for your hard work in supporting your incredible useful tool. The user experience of play Elite Dangerous with your program is very rich ( in usefulness and in credits ).

I would like to ask to you, if is possible in the future, to add these features in your program.

1. Any to Any (from system X or current system ) within Y distance/radius.

If the "from" system is Achenar (user choice system) , the program will calculate ANY to ANY from all systems around Achenar, within 32LY (user choice LYs ) radius.

Currently, the program is able to make two types of ANY: ANY to ANY for ALL system in a radius, but without a starting point, and System to Any (or Any to System).

2. Round trip with three systems in this way: A-B-C-B-A

After having problems for a few days I uninstalled and reinstalled the tool. Right now it's got a "live" interface (I.e., I can pick systems/commodities/etc), and it's saying Current Users: 1026 Known Systems: 3 ... I'm fairly sure that can't be correct. Is the tool just absolutely dead now?

I think it varies, for systems off the beaten path that get very little traffic (even from NPC traders) 48 hours could be way to short since the prices fluctuate very little if at all, but in other systems 2 hours could be already quite old.
What I can observe is, when I make a roundtrip from A to B back to A, that each time I come back to each station the price varies just a tiny bit, 1-2 credits, since I'm slightly decreasing the stock on A and decreasing the demand on B. So 10cr per Ton doesn't make a whole lot of difference after a few runes and the prices will recover if I'm the only trader doing that route, but if I'm not, then the prices will be completely off.

Now keep in mind, some people had hiccups with BPC and had to reset their local Database, but otherwise, no data is really lost, the server simply limits the data it sends you to the last 48hours, so if you start it at least every 2 days and don't wipe your local DB, you keep all the data, as outdated (or not) as it may be.

Data warning: Around systems near Wolf 896 (Furbaide, Liaedin and possibly more) someone has been inputting stations in these systems as buying Personal weapons and it's coming out as the top trade from Wolf 896.
Personal weapons are on the prohibited list in these places.

For this item I would suggest checking the Galaxy map and making sure that they are not prohibited

I would like to ask to you, if is possible in the future, to add these features in your program.
Both features have been requested multiple times before, #1 is called radius search and is already on Slopeys todo list.

Standard Roundtrip Feature (A-B-A) is confirmed to be coming back, but A-B-C-B-A or A-B-C-D-A would in my opinion just blow up the GUI way to much with very little gain (you can already do this with Standard A-B searches when you are at that station with potentially newer data than your one search 20minutes ago), but that is of course up to Slopey and so far he hasn't commented on that yet.

How do you speed up the parsing..? It's slower than watching paint dry, it's like waiting for it to peel.

Forget it, this tool is getting worse by the day. I'm getting a locked message now. Thanks for the effort Slopey, I'll stick to the less populated but more reliable Thrudds.

If Slopey's becomes stable I will consider donating as a thank you.

UPDATED to v4.2.0.2 - 1419UTC 03-01-15
The BPC now features persistent data, so that gives you local mode by default. Disable Auto-Updates, and if you're a purist, clear your database from options, and hey presto - that's local mode/solo, where only your own data will be shown to you.

For the last two updates that the program has re-enabled "Auto-Update" (and all other options, like the voice stuff) and you can´t deselect it before it has already uploaded my database and downloaded the entire database. Is this intended and how do I stop it? (I like updates to the software, but leave my database alone)
This first of all ruins my own personal database (Also served as a list of systems that I have ever visited, as I deleted the downloaded db) and second of all uploads my (faulty) data which is not nessesarily correct (But that wasnt a problem as it was only for my eyes and I knew where the mistakes were). This ruins both mine and your database with junk and I hope there is a way out of that.

It's not intended and the latest version should resolve that for once and for all as it now stores settings in the ED4.db file itself (but that won't be apparent until the next update) - that file is always backed up at launch, so if something does get inavertently toggled, you can restore it.

You should know that even in local mode, all data is always uploaded to the servers, since that is the sole purpose of BPC to gather this data, so you should always strive for correct data.

I've got an EliteOCR BPC export file that will not import into Slopey's tool. Was docked at the station while doing the export, but the BPC just refused the file with no error. It was a station that does not currently exist in the BPC database. .bpc file contents here: http://pastebin.com/VuTfYHny
Is the problem with BPC or EliteOCR? Or something else entirely?

Am I right in thinking that the BPC gradually become less and less useful the more players venture through the Milky Way?
At the minute, players are largely operating in a tiny section of the galaxy, but as they spread out, they will thin out as well. Even if there were a million players, it would be possible for everyone to have 4000 systems entirely to themselves. The BCP will eventually just become a replacement for paper and pen, especially if data is deleted after 48 hours.
I know that's not really relevant to anything, it's just unbelieveable how huge this game is.

slopey has stated previously that it doesnt delete data older than 48 hours. what is happening is if you clear your db and then force download it only downloads data from the previous 48hrs. If you leave it on and let it keep doing its own updating you will over time accrue that historical data.

of course i could be completely wrong but ive been paying close attention.

I still can't use the latest version.

Sometimes it loads, updates the markets then stalls on Parsing.

Other times it just crashes.

For the crashing incidents, I have two files. The first (called Error 01) asked me if I wanted to continue. The second (called error 02) was a fatal crash.

I have tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling, several times.

I will be really grateful for any advice.

Did you write the exact station name in the dropdown before you imported the .bpc file? You must write it down manually if it is not already in the dropdown otherwise it will not import any data.
