So, I'm 1500 light years out, where's the stations?

I decided it was time to venture forth and get away from all the trade areas that exist in that 300ly sphere around the starting area. However, i haven't run into a station in a 1000 light years. Is this a known thing I missed?

You're in the real deep space. There isn't a station to be found anywhere (maybe), unless you return to "civilization".

Yeah you seem to have missed that 1500 is more than 300 ;) Humans aren't out that far into space, you're in "Here Be ThargDragons" territory

The galaxy might have 400 billion systems, but that doesn't mean you are actually supposed to go there. Hope you brought a fuel scoop!

You will, unfortunately, die in cold deep space. Exploration is all about risk and finding new stuff. You will not encounter stations everytime. Plan you stuff carefully. Before jumping to a system you can use Thrudds Trading tool to find if your next stop will cost you a ship or not :)

If you find a station bring the data home, we are looking since ages for those alien invaders and need the intel on them badly.

I ran into the same thing today. Federation became hostile to me so I decided to try to find some empire systems. I headed "north" (up, in the galactic plane) and ran out of civilized systems fairly quick. Happily, after limping back into occupied space with my ship's integrity at 49%, I did make 200k + for selling my exploration data. Still haven't found any Empire systems, though.

Go South my boy.

Sorry bumping this because these threads are so active. Was the pay extra for stations out past 500ly a comment made in sarcasm, because I'm honestly trying to figure this out.

It was a joke, relax :)

Unless... they have implemented Pay-Per-Access Stations already?? HmmMmmMMmm ;)

Just a joke :D ... but really, there is no stations in the deep space beyond that distance from the small corner humans live in. Explorers are to carve, a possible, path for expansion.

Thats really unfortunate. With the technology humans have in this game, there would be much more much fruther. You can go 1000ly in a couple hours if you're on a mission.
