Anarchy system/station clarification please.

Can some kind soul clarify:-
- Are you ever scanned at an anarchy station? ie: If you have stolen goods you're at no risk of being blown apart?
- No fire zones around the station? Can you fire at people near anarchy stations, where at traditional stations you'd be in a no fire zone?

nope never been scanned at any anarchy station ive been too, its not the station that scans you its the police that fly around out front so ,if there are no police out front there will be no scan,

Thanks... And no fire zones there? What's to stop you just attacking any ship coming out of such a station?

If you're going to be doing illegal activities [especially pirating], you should turn off 'Report Crimes Against Me'. I got scanned whilst holding illegal cargo and was fined, at the Nav Beacon :-/

There are 'No Fire Zones' - Why would you want to attack people at stations anyway ?

The best way I've found to grab some NPC bounties is to scan them [KWS or Cargo Scan], they'll boost all over the place. You can do that until they're outside the no fire zone and then take care of them.

you're less likely to get scanned at a station in an anarchy system. the key point about them is that there is no system police, stations however can still have their private security forces, no fire zones, etc. etc.

To the best of my knowledge, ALL stations have a no fire zone, and they all inform you (with a message in red) when you enter or leave said no fire zone.

I don't believe there are fire zones around Anarchy stations (based on a youTube video where the guy followed someone with a bounty to an anarchy station and ambushed him when he came out), so you can attack other ships close to it, however if you hit the station it will retailiate with overbearing force!

I'm not 100% sure about the reason for turning off the report crimes against me... But I would guess that if you yourself are a smuggler or a pirate the police would be less likely to help you if you report a crime to them, and more likely to help take you down to claim that juicy bounty.

Mayhaps I just never noticed that there is no no fire zone around anarchy systems.... now I feel the need to check.

How does that help you exactly?

If a pirate attacks you while you are wanted it would report that crime, police may come in to aid you. They would kill the pirate and then scan you and attack because you are also wanted. You turn this off to stay under the radar.

Nothing maybe except a 200 credits fine per ship. You might want to deactivate your distress signal in this case, you do not want to invite the cops to this party.

So if you sit outside a station in an anarchy system you can just blast things to pieces, with nothing more than a 200CR fine per ship? Really?

Aha! Thanks!

I shot at someone outside a station in an anarchy system, i was clear of the "no fire zone"

i got a "hostilities detected" message and the station opened fire on me and killed me

the ship i attacked might have been from the same faction as the station, not sure

i didn't have a fine or a bounty to pay off, i respawned back in that same station (insurance)

Yep, same happened to me, only 1) it was an outpost 2) we were really far away so I didn't have the part where it was fired upon me :)
Had docking permissions denied afterwards which got reinstated later (overnight)

Yes, really. I strongly recommend to not shoot down any members of the stations faction.
And you can do this in lave at the anarchy station too, it is the station that matters, not the system. I would not recommend doing this in an anarchy system when you are at a non-anarchy station. ;-)

There are infact a no fire zone around anarchy stations.

The thing is with those zones, that if you shoot at a locally wanted target (or just out into thin space without hitting anything) you will only get fined by 100 cr. No leathal response.
However, if you shoot and hit clean ships you will face full retalitory response from the station.
