Kickstarter Collection 2013

I like 'em. Stick to your own instincts.

The tastes and the colors are personal and respectable. For my part, I also like the current screens, but I think more colors would provide clarity and the depth. Especially spaceships with their original colors

Could be something to do if there was a ship database, then keep the golden ships on homepage etc.

I think the Golden Eagle works quite well. Bit of bling for all the rich pirates out there :)

hmmm there seems to be some missing pics near the start of this thread. Also Synchromesh's site is currently down. Updates are coming I guess. :)

Hi guys

Just a small info update and all is going exceptionally well ...

Hit a small wall today though that the present software im using does not have the functions I really want in this Kickstarter collection unless I upgrade...This will give me the functions I need like click on the video's for fullscreen for example, Proper slideshows, wallpaper galleries etc and I really don't want to cut corners on this......

Unfortunatly for me the upgrade is £245 which is going to hurt me badly but I think I can just do it and I have put so much into it so far I don't want to do a half job.....So I hope you guys really want this...

Meanwhile here are a couple more screenies for you to look at...

And to think I could have got a Collector's premium boxed edition of "Elite: Dangerous" Instead ...Sigh !!!

Looking great Synchromesh :D

I know its become a bit of a cliche to suggest this now, but have you thought of a mini-Kickstarter to sort out that software upgrade cost. I'd be more than happy to throw some money in the pot :)

The only thing i can see being an issue is (understandably) Michael's comment:
We're fine as long as proper attribution is given and that you're not charging money or personal favours for it.

Michael

If you were to run a KS you wouldn't be able to offer rewards that might otherwise be charged for in a normal software release... i'm assuming once you've finished the prog it will be released for free.

Maybe just a section in there giving credit to sponsors. Or even a personalised version (different colours, their name splashed on the first page), so long as this doesn't count as a "personal favour" :p

On a semi-related side note, i made a prog at the end of the official KS that downloaded all the comments from the site. Needless to say no-one was really keen to wade through +125k comments lol! But if you'd like to add it let me know and i'll share it via googledocs :)

save yourself the complications and problems ... don't do the kickstarter
but it does look good.

True it may create more problems that it solves, and leave you obligated to live up rewards etc. We're a great community on here though and i'm sure folks will support this kind of creativity in any way they can :)

@ cassius5000

I couldn't do a kickstarter ...As you stated Michael was clear on the not making money side of things....Besides the kickstarter fees are over half the price of the upgrade so it seems pointless really.
As Alien stated save myself the complications :)

One way or another I will work it out and its not stopping me at the moment from creating it...Im just leaving certain areas and features till last moment and by then I will have sorted something :)

I will be PM' ing some of you guys soon for permissions to use your vids...wallpapers etc

I hardly believe that willing donations can be seen as Money you request or anything Michael said.

That said, if there's a way to contribute...
