A few thoughts of mine

Good Day,

First off I just want to say I am really enjoying Elite Dangerous. It is now become my favorite game and I would like to put my senses in to give some suggestions on what I would like to see in the game.
Please note I am aware that there might be flaws or certain aspects of my suggestions that might not be able to take form but still want to put it all out there while I can.


First off I want to see the multiplayer systems beefed up. I know they are currently working on it and it would be amazing to see what they have come up with but for my current thoughts is kind of like what other MMO’s have. A guild system. You can have one or multiple founding members for your guild. It would cost a certain amount of money to start your guild. Once you create one you will have the ability to either purchase a star system from one of the factions or set out and claim a sector for yourself.
Since there are over 400 billion star systems I think that it would be reasonable to have something like this.

What this will grant is the ability to put money towards building a space station. You can have quests like, mine this much mineral to either build or upgrade your station. It would start with something small. Maybe have a one or two docking unit. You can upgrade it over time which would increase its size and what it can store. You can make it have a store and repair station and such where you can control the prices. This would mean you could have to go on supply runs to keep your store in stock and if visiting people want to use your station they can.
I would also like to see a setting where you can align your guild with one of the major factions if you want. So say I like the empire I would apply my star system to be a part of it. You could set that you have to do missions or such to get accepted. When you are accepted into the faction like that you will have to pay a tax to the faction you are with. It could increase depending on the size of your station and the location of your system but in return you would get the protection of their Patrol ships.

Not too sure about this one but you could have an in guild mission list for your members. Those who just join have to do these missions before leveling up in your guild. This is so you can spend your time working towards the things you want and have your grunts out getting the needed supplies for your station for upgrading it or keeping it in supply of the necessary equipment.
Another thing is Guild tags. You can make it so it shows what guild you are in and for those who are in the same guild it shows what their rank is. So the Leaders could say Leader or even a custom ranking system that you can set up yourself.

I know in the future we are getting the ability to walk around our ships and maybe even land on planets. This would be an amazing feature but I am also wondering what about the huge ships that we can own. Those are multi person ships coming from a few ship members to a couple dozen.
I would like to see a feature where you can hire crew members that you would have to pay a wage to, you can deduct it from mission winnings and such which will give your ship a small bonus. You can level up your crew with each mission and assign them special training at certain large space stations.
I get that in the smaller ships you can fly it easily yourself but once you get up to the higher class of ships you would need a crew that can assist you with the running of the ship.
Crew specialization like Engineer, Security, communications, pilot.


Engineers: They can give you small boost in module repair, power usage and shield recharges
Security: They can give you a small boost in reload speed and thermal overload issues
Communications: They can help with prices being dropped or even talking your way out of being attack by the patrols when you are in a wanted status or even decease the speed of scanners
Pilots: They could give you the ability to find short cuts or shorter routes to locations and give you a small speed boost in combat

Since we will be getting the ability to land our ships on the planet surfaces I was thinking if our systems have habitable planets we could start building our own settlements and such on it. I’m not too sure what to do from there with this idea at the moment but I could be cool.

While I do enjoy the fact the only thing you can buy with real money in game right now is skins and such for your ships. In the long run this won’t provide the money required for long term development. I don’t want to take the fun away and have it a Pay to Win kind of game. So no using real money to buy ships or trade for credits and things like that. I want to continue on the path of using real money to buy appearance changes. For example assume they put in the space station idea, you can use real money to upgrade the visual effect on your station. Say you want a section to have a waterfall or you want to have your station do a light show in space when you dock. Or when you dock you can have a voice clip say welcome instead of just the screen. Or change the way the docking interface shows up.
