Buying ships with real money.....?

I think that all the games need a small amount of p2w or else there will be no development. I really like Elite, I was really surprised that it was this good. I would not like it to die soon. So at the moment I am actually worried because there is almost nothing to buy, no p2w at all.

Monthly fee for increased income, I think this might be the thing.

If there were a ship to buy, it should not be the best ship. Maybe a small jump start to the game, but nothing more. Like from the current ships, I can immediately say that I would not mind if someone could buy Eagle or Hauler with real money.

Absolutely not.
Decals, paintjobs, expansions for game - yes. Even reasonable monthly subscribe - yes.
But no pay to win.

I actually can't see a problem with this, My asp cost me about 5 million which i made in a week or so without trying, but pimping it out with high class equipment has cost about 30 million.

If you haven't got up to the bigger ships yet you won't realise that buying the ship is the cheap and easy part so buying with cash still won't make you king of the skies as you'll be flying a slow ass basically stock turd that can be shot to bits by almost anything.

Which is equally probably a good reason not to do it.

"I bought a <insert ship> for <credits> and it's a pile of <expletive>!!! Now I find out that I've got to make lots of in game money to afford to equip it or even cover it's insurance or else it's gone! This is a total Rip-Off!!!121"

So either it's made abundantly clear that the ship you're buying is an absolute dog - and you'd still have people who would express the above as even the best descriptor needs perspective, which requires a reasonable amount of experience in the game, at which point you realise you can make money in game for no cash at all. Or you don't tell people and the above is the standard response.

Im sure, you can easily find ppl who will boost your account for real money.
If you want to support developer's go and buy new ship skin.
Im currently doing this after every minor patch release)

Bad idea. Breaks the game. Why bother with trade etc.

Faction wars won by the side that has the most real money.

So many reasons not to have ships for sale.

Please No monthly fee, Im not from the US nor UK, and getting the game that it is on a foreign coin was a hassle, a monthly fee will make me drop out,
and Im sure a lot more ppl from undevelop countrys aswell, I vote for full cosmetics things, may be accessorys for the cockpit would be nice if one can customize
the inside of his ship aswell.
