I just read on GalNet that due to the replanting going on in Kappa Fornacis (Panem) after the Onionhead bombing, there would be very high demand for AgriMeds, Land Enrichment Systems, Crop harvesters and Biovaste.
"Awesome" I think, it probably won't last, but it could make trading fun for a while and give me a break from my normal trade route. I enthusiastically drag my ship over there to take advantage of this great opportunity. And what do I find? Nothing! Prices on the mentioned goods are 400-900Cr over galactic average, despite high demand.
Why on earth would they fumble something like this - it's so incredibly easy to get right. Just put up a demand that quickly deteriorates, but which starts with prices high enough so that quick traders can make a real buck. I'm not talking silly profits like on the rares initially, but just enough so that for a couple of runs, traders can be happy about having found something really cool. And let us feel like traders instead of haulers for a while.
Instead, nothing. If I want to make a good profit, I have to go back to my regular route instead. This just makes me sad - what a wasted opportunity!
