Cobra Cockpit

When in the Cobra I find head tracking on the DK2 is much worse. I get a lot of juddering. I get it to a lesser degree on the Viper and other ships are smooth. Anyone else get this and know of a way to improve things? Even dropping my settings to low doesn't help.

Seems odd because ships like the Adder and Clipper seem to have more complex cockpits and I would expect them to have frame rate issues, not the Cobra.

Off the cuff answer (as I've never had this problem (Cobra Cmdr) and there are some people out there better to answer this) is that the Cobra is wide not narrow so the FOV and weapon tracking is huge but the rendered overlay of the cockpit reduces this FOV until you pan or tilt.

FOV doesn't change. More likely it's just a higher poly cockpit and/or more complex materials in the cockpit. It could also be that they don't have occlusion culling and the long overhang on the front of the cobra is being rendered even when you can't see it.

It must be that additional seat :D

FWIW I only notice this in-dock. Could be just that my card is powerful enough not to be bothered by it, whereas yours is just on the limit.
