Can we visit Earth and our solar system?

Erm, what in another 1,300 years? Don't think it'll still be there in 13 years. They plan to deorbit it sometime after 2020.

Perhaps it could have crashed into, and destroyed, Doncaster city centre. Which would resolve all the technical issues.

Trouble with that is, in a multiplayer game, you run the risk of players queuing up to "discover" voyager.

In an MMO, I'd agree with you. But for ED, if some explorer found Voyager 1 in deep space, they'd have found it, end of story. It's not like you're going to hear a "ding" and your exp bar shifts along or some cash is dropped into your account when it appears on your scanners. So there really no impetus to find it after it's found.

Isn't Cambridge located on low lying land? If Essex is gone so would Cambridge and FD HQ.

I think, from memory (being a local and all that), Cambridge just about escapes being deluged.... The Fens and most of Suffolk on the other hand... not so lucky....

Try this tool - a 9m rise in sea-level is interesting for East Anglia and Holland.

Disclaimer: I can't vouch for its accuracy - but it seems kosher.

Interesting with a 4m rise in sea level, my house is safe but where I work would be flooded. 5m becomes challenging and 6 m wet. However significant parts of my home town would still be safe with a 9 m rise , some might even survive 13m.

With a 9m rise Frontier Developments would still be safe, however at 13m it would be flooded.

Looks like I'm cool up to 20m - although rapid erosion by wave and tide would happen too, I expect.

I'd be knocking on doors looking for a new home at somewhere between 9 & 13m. Perhaps it's a good time to start investing in high land? Wonder if its possible to buy a mountain...

I'm safe up to the maximum of 60m. I mock you low-land living loons from my safe high perch!!

Mock! MOCK!! Mock! MOCK!! Mock! MOCK!!

:D

At +30 its Stamford by the sea for me, cool! Peterborough is gone though..shame

Most of us don't have to worry too much about sea level rise. The latest predictions are 89cm by the end of the century if global warming continues.
