FREE MONEY!

Remember the server issues the other night? I know a lot of fellow commanders lost some cash.

I, um, didn't. I was trying to sell some equipment at exactly the right moment. I got quite exasperated with the server bugging out. Thought we'd gone back to the glory days of beta. So I logged in and out, clicking on the sell button (I was trying to swap out a scanner for a cargo hold, so I could do my last gold run of the night, so I was only paying attention to that) when I decided to give up, and glancing over, I noticed I was a few million credits up.

I ticketed it straight away, but it was enough to put me over into getting my second clipper. (The first one had an unfortunate ramming mishap in a conflict zone last week, and I had miscalculated my insurance coverage. Ho Hum.) Having a clipper sized cargo hold again has meant my weekend play time was very productive and I am now quite comfortable financially.

Anyway, support just got back to my last email - I offered to give the money back, but they have told me I can keep the money because I was a good citizen.

And because I am a good citizen, I'm going to load up my hold with performance enhancers! (I was going to do gold, but then I thought you could probably make more money by picking up some perf enhancers and jetting over to the 'seeking luxuries' guys in the same system.) I'll be sitting outside the no fire zone at Somayaji Terminal in CD-54 9671, in about 75 minutes from now. (I'm making dinner now, so might be a bit late.) Around 2100 hours in Japan. Google what time that is for you.

Want some free stuff? Come and ask for it. I'll be the chap in the shiny clipper.

No strings attached, and play nice, commanders. I will just hit the power button on my PC if anyone gets all cheeky and greedy and pew pew pew. Not in the mood for PVP. 10 tons apiece for free to the first commanders to show up. Or as much as your hold will take, whichever is less. :D Spreading the love, sharing the wealth. (But not so much that I'm actually going to leave my home systems. :D )

EDITED: Half and half, commanders, how about that? You can choose gold or you can have perf enhancers!

bumping this up to the front page so more people see it... thank you for the rep! But leave a comment.

Redistributing the wealth, brothers and sisters!

I know, there have been traps like this before but I won't be doing a number 2 on my own doorstep. I often trade at this station, it's an Imperial system and I am an Imperial dog. :D My clipper is also currently unarmed. Although, the first sign of pew pew I see, I'm logging off, taking my ball and going home. :p

So, it'd be a pretty silly trap. No lasers on my ship, and right outside a place that loves me. I don't want them to see that side of me!

Probably best to post over on the newbie forum. Everyone here is likely to be loaded. Nice gesture tho.

You still there? I would be happy to pop over for a chat! Only 3 jumps!

Edited to add: I have an Asp and plent of insurance so don't really need the cash, but a chat in game would be fun!

My comms seem to be shot... apologies. It keeps going back to the first commander I messaged?!

I'll drop 10 perf enhancers at every new face, unless you ask specifically for gold!

EDIT - smoke break. When I come back, I hope that comms will actually work again.

Sorry to CMDR Barefoot thingamajig! Not ignoring you!

All this littering of the space lanes ... we will all just have to use our pooper scoopers to clear up the untidyness! LOL

Game design in it's finest. This kills the piracy.

For this specific case: If someone gives you cargo for free there is no need to attack him. Attacking him would actually kill piracy.

In general: if someone doesn't want to get pirated he should just switch to solo or a pve group. Turning power off / unplugging cable is just stupid if you could have it that easy.

There are a lot of silly people out there who might get greedy for 200 tons of what I got. That's the only reason I mentioned unplugging. Not losing my ship to silly folk. ;)
