Warzone missions (did i miss something ?)

I took 3 warzones missions for the same system :
- one was given by Empire (requiring 7 kills)
- one was given by Feds (requiring 6 kills)
- one was given by independants/pirates (requiring 9 kills)

I jumped to a low intensity warzone and choose to engage Federal Navy ships.

Every takedown counted for all 3, meaning that Feds told me : "go to warzone and kill everyone you want, we don't care if it's our vessels, we'll pay you, we want blood and destruction muhahahahahaha". I find this a bit strange, at least... But perhaps Feds are just psycho.

Another thing, i was flying a Cobra equipped with 2 fixed rail guns on small hardpoints and 2 gimballed multi-cannons on medium hardpoints. So it cost me far more expensive in ammo (OMG, refilling 2 small railguns cost more than 15k cred) and repairs than i got on reward. I had to jump out once to refill my rail guns ammo. Ok, i'm not the most accurate pilot in the galaxy and i miss 1/2 to 2/3 when firing railgun, but wait, a mercenary doesn't fight for someone to lose money and doesn't hit with every bullet. I feel warzone rewards very unbalanced (around 14k to 20k) or ammo are too expensive even if i'm not the most skilled fighter. You want me to risk my ship and burn my very expensive ammo ? Pay me in consequence !!!

And finally i shot a stupid System Defense Force (independant) who crossed my line of fire while i was firing my railguns. Every last one of them insta hated me and focused me. I was surrounded by red dots who killed me in 10 seconds, couldn't jump out. Lol ! I became the ennemy number 1 of everybody there, disregarding i already killed 6 Feds and no one else. I had to pay around 150k insurance + missing ammo (for 14k, 15k and 20k potential rewards) and i finally think : ok do your fracking war together, i gonna hunt pirates/traders/smuggler/innocent people, less dangerous and at least profitable !!!! Ho, and i will change those far too much expensive (even if efficient) railguns for fixed burst lasers, at least it doesn't use ammo.

As i had kill only 6 ships, only the Feds mission was a success and i gained Feds reputation (even if i killed only Feds). Empire and independant reacted : ok guy you suck, we don't like you anymore ! And i loose reputation (even if i killed... only Feds).

I suggest you to up warzone mission rewards, and fix the friendly fire please. When you're surrounded by ships, a miss shot is more than expected, it will happen. I can't imagine ever mounting a beam laser in these conditions^^.

Another thing : i used to often intercept "wanted" with my FSD interdictor for 2k reward (wich i know only after Kill Warrant Scanning them while they were shooting at me), these poor s they weren't even worth the price of the ammo i would use to kill them, so i didn't shot at them and jumped out, and i don't use my FSD interdictor anymore. I guess it's a pirate tool and not really a Bounty Hunter one. (or a Bounty Hunter using only Lasers without ammo and who will take 10 minutes to kill a poor guy for 2k cred).

Could be cool too if when buying weapons, we could have an idea of the cost of ammo. I remember buying a missile launcher at my very beginning, just to see that 1 missile cost 14k !!! (i couldn't even buy one at this time^^).

Well finally, perhaps i should fit only 1 small fixed rail gun for disabling shields (more accurate and efficient), and fit 1 small fixed burst laser coupled with 2 medium gimballed multi-cannons for sustained fire on wreck. Gonna try this.

Yes, another area of the game that clearly needs some TLC!

Missions should tie you to that faction so the moment you jump into the conflict zone you are assigned to that faction, and you have to shoot the enemy.

This will be the case until you abandon/fail/succeed the mission.


If you take up competing mission, fine, but it will not be applicable until the other is finished. It should apply them in take up order IMHO.
