Just lost 6 million in credits!

Well for the second time now ive lost credits, this time i was in a Type 7 with 16 million minus 3 million in cargo which takes it down to 13 million. Anyhow i made the distance to were i was going and i set the dockling computer to dock, however ever when i came back from the toilet the ship was huddled next to the landing pad "struggling" to dock which is a bug ive noticed. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it dont. Anyhow before i could react i was blown up by the defenses in the station and respawned but i know only have like 11 million!!

Im really annoyed with this as its the second time its happened, is there anyway to get my credits back as i spent 3 evenings after work getting that 6 million. Really really angry and deflated as i fell like im running an uphill all the time. Was gonna buy my ASP back tonight and kit it out but because of LAME BUGS.....YES BUGS now i cant. If the docking computer does not work then bloody remove it until its does work!!!

Can anyone offer some advice as how to get my credits back, will they reimburse me? Im done playing tonight and tbh im losing patients with this game as i feel cheated.

Sometimes the docking computer does what it does in the video until station defenses destroy you as you run out of time!
Or the ship will remain to the left as it is in the video but continuously bang into the floor trying to reach the center with no success, the end result being that the station defenses destroy you once again.
I lost 6 million credits because of this bug! Whether im at my PC or not at my PC, its a docking computer that should "Dock your ship" no matter what.
This seems to happen more when your ship is fully laden or full of cargo more than when its unladen or no cargo.

A bug in the docking computer that gets your ship destroyed is worth a support ticket in my opinion. They've restored credits lost due to bugs in the past. Good luck.

Yeah, give a ticket a go.

Though for the record, I don't advise leaving any kind of automated system alone to fly your ship. I wouldn't have a quick kip while cruise control did its thing either.

Honestly, and without it sounding trite... dock manually. It is faster, safer and following the comments on the forum re crazy docking computer glitches, less stressful.

I know that isn't helpful at the moment but trust me.... manual docking is the way forward for fast turn around and lack of death.

I've had to disable the docking computer quite a number of times. I have learned to never step away from the computer while auto dock is active, the most I dare get away with is alt-tabbing. Wait to land at the station before you step away until the auto dock AI improves.

Too bad the station never fires at the NPCs who have the same problem. Watched one NPC try to dock at a pad for about 15 minutes, thought the station would have blown him up, but it never did.

I have seen the stations fire at NPC who hang around the portal into the station.

The only upside to the docking computer is the music.

Will be giving out docking lessons and training at Lavecon. Including how to dock at type 9 at speed without dying, how to spin around if the pad is squiffy and emergency reverse procedures if you forgot to ask for permission.

lol too many fan boys blaming the victim on here.

The bottom line here is it's a feature that should work as advertised. So yes, as someone said, put in a ticket and I feel you should get your lost money back.

The docking computer clearly didn't help but leaving the game and not watching seems to be the main culprit, surely the toilet break could've waited another couple of minutes? That way if the docking computer is struggling you will see it before you run out of time. Docking computers were notorious in the original so in one sense, they are very much in the spirit of 84.:D

I simply don't understand why anyone would use them anyway, especially if you have had previous issues, especially if you played the original, and in light of both those facts, ESPECIALLY not when your on the throne lol.

Ive docked millions of times manually, tired of ity tbh. If docking computer dont work it should not be in the game if its going to lose players credits.
Sick and tired of this . I work 12 hours aday and when i come home i like to chill on this game for an hour but it seems to me a losing battle, im starting to think why bother, i lost 400k last time and a load of bounty kills so i restarted as the game wiped all my credits and put me back in a sidewinder. But 6 million is taking the . I could have spent the evening relaxing with my wife or watching TV, startingh to lose faith now, if i dont get my credits back after this i will probably push for a full refund and be done with it.

He already knew it can get stuck. He has no one to blame but himself.
