Had some free time this evening and decided to re-hook up my projector.. The wall I used to use it for movies has been painted and I have not bothered to get a proper screen for the projector yet, so I figured.. why not do this...

140" (diagonal) screen.. that works out to 8ft high x 10ft wide. Combined with track IR its pretty sweet. I don't have much time tonight to play with it, but tomorrow I will!

The only bad is i wont be able to keep it setup where it is for too long but it will be fun for the week or two I have it up!

Not bad actually.. 80 bucks or so.. box says 6000hr life.. no idea if i will get that out of it or not as I actually dont watch TV (don't own one or have service) so for me its just a movie or two once a week so this one has lasted over 2 years so far.

Yes.. yes it would be.. I could always "borrow" 2 projectors from work :) Though, Im on the list for the CV1 when its out, and overall that will be cheaper, so im just waiting for that at this point ;)

Excellent. GF's projector needs a new bulb I think - it has horrible brightness pulsation so she's given up playing on it. Of course - that means she ends up playing on MY rig :(

Or Oculus Rift. :D Its what makes the old "many screens" redundant. ;)

Ive been using 3x24inch for flight, racing sims and ARMA + TrackIR. Its been epic. Looking forward to be completely INSIDE the game now hehe.

Looking sweet though OP! I remember when me any my friend took my projector and aimed it out through my window onto the next house and played some motorbike racing game! :D Like several meters height/length haha. Turned a lot of heads down on the street.

My computer isn't beefy enough to drive an OR.... but I should wish there was someplace I could go to demo one , if just for a few minutes... would love to see what it's like flying through the galaxy with the Rift.
