Not being a religious person I don't go in for this sort of thing....however...last night....

I had a mission to kill 7 targets in a War Zone in Obimvas (or some place spelt like that), its only a short 12ly journey, so I had just bought a Viper (again) and got it almost fully upgraded - crikey 135K to buy but I spent nearly 1.5 Million getting it upgraded to some A's, B's Cs and Ds!

Anyway I picked up the mission from the Bulletin board at V1688 Aquilae and made 2 jumps over there, found the war Zone, started taking down targets, mostly big stuff as I find the little guys tricky in the Viper (Fixed Beams and Multis). Anyway, I selected 'Most Dangerous target' and it came up with an anaconda, so i thought, 'Sod that, he has full shield 100% health and I will only get 3000cr for him, oh whats that just flew past my bows in red, its an Eagle, he will do instead' Anyway i selected him and started pounding him, checked his name in the Target selector and its a real player!! My first encounter since release!! his name 'was' CMDR Luciferous (Hi!), anyway I had started shooting him and his shields went down fast with my class 2 beams pouring heat into him, his hull started failing, I got the message that Frame Shift Drive had been detected - "he's trying to get away!" sorry not this time, I chased him down and finished him off before he could Jump out.... I didnt feel any guilt at all, I had spent the past hour or so in 2 war Zones, dispensing with about 20 'targets', I was in efficient battle mode, just thinking about surviving myself and destroying everything else....

However...as soon as he blew up, I looked to the top right to find the message that says 'Target destroyed, 3000CR reward etc blah blah' But it wasnt there.....?? Instead there appeared a big Blue Triangle? What does that mean? Is it because i killed a real player? Anyone know?..

Thats not all, this is where it got spooky.........I was in the middle of a huge tumultuous battle, ships everywhere, Green, Red all over the RADAR, but in that instance they vanished!....
.
I was on my own in a vacuum....had I killed the last human alive, wiped out the last of civilisation....was the Elite God telling me I had done something wrong? Bad! Evil!?

Had CMDR Luciferous used an exploit to save buying his ship back? I dont know....
..
Any ideas?
