Ha, just two large hardpoints? So the "shotgun" of arena shooters. Hopefully it's one of the free for beta backers, after the Python nerf I'm weary to buy anything in this game because it looks "good".
Sounds like a nice pirate ship.
I'm glad there is something different, like the increased number of utility points but reduced number of weapons to the viper and cobra, not just somethign very similar, or obviously superior.

See, I was sad because of the Python nerf just as I have enough money to be able to buy one...but now I am absolutely going to keep the Asp and spend all my spare credits on getting Vulture and kitting it out for fun and jollies.The vulture is set to have just two large hard points actually and four utility hard points. So you can imagine with such a load out what the ship is going to be like to make up for it![]()
If its spectacularly fast and has a "decent" cargo bay it cold make an epic rares mule through pirate infested rare routes
I hope it only has size 1 and 2 internal bays (other than one for its shield) so you can put some equipment on it, but not make it into another trade ship.
I agree that two large hard points only sounds very limited. No class 3 multi-cannons means I would basically be restricted to less fire power than the viper/cobra if I wanted to use multi's, or use energy weapons meaning once shields are down I'm less affective that my Viper load out. I know there are cannon's but I'm not a fan.
These are all assumptions though. I'll wait until I see all the other specs. However if it's gonna cost 20 times the Viper I'd prefer to continue bounty hunting in my Viper.

Judging by the size, if that is the vulture in the bottom left.
Id expect it to be around Asp price 7mil or so, perhaps a bit more if dedicated fighter.
Id also expect it to have similar weapons, 6 hardpoints maybe 4 med 2 small.
2 large suggests assassin ship (apart from no large railguns, but that's probably a style thing and assassins can use other weapons, but railguns punch above their weight intentionally so maybe class 3 rails are pointless as C3 beams and cannon do max damage). Large is good against larger ships.
4 utility points means Kill Warrant Scanner, Wake Scanner (to follow marks) and a couple of defensive items like chaff, PD or heatsinks and so on.
I'd have thought 2 large and one medium would have made more sense for a heavy fighter.
2 hard points is quite restrictive for options.
Two fixed beams would be strong, mind. And that can defeat most targets. If an A class Vulture can fire those continuously for longer than a python can fire three, it might be good. But if you need to pulse fire or recharge too often then you have no backup option. And taking out the hull of anything bigger than an asp could take some time.
It's only restrictive due to there being no large multi cannons. Though I suppose you could use one large beam and one medium mc. That's a bit weak though.
