Hey, ED, you owe me a new graphics card

So, I USED to have a 550Ti.

Shut up, I know.

Anyway, I go to a resource extraction site for the first time ever, within minutes my card is making all kinds of noises, before settling on a sound that sounds like an old WW2 bomber landing. Temps go off the charts and the game crashes.

You made your game too pretty and you broke my GPU. You gonna replace that? Huh? HUH? How am I supposed to play without a graphics card? I suppose I can listen to the soundtrack outside at night, and hope for a clear sky to stare at but it's not quite the same!

i deliberately blew my old graphics card up when BF3 came out by cooking an egg on it

#no regrets

Cool Story Bro time: I've blown up a few video cards over the years. One of them actually started smoking, and I had to carry the machine from my upstairs office down to the front porch and rip it open to see what was going on. Was pretty sure it was the video card, but wanted to make sure. So I did what any idiot would do--disconnected the card, and start touching the back side of the card to check for hot spots.

Let's just say I got the confirmation I was looking for, and many, many words that this forum looks down upon did issue forth from my lips.

For whatever reason, I missed the hole in the board caused by a capacitor launching itself off the board like the Space Shuttle until after I scorched myself.

I've found 1 extraction location where the fps slows to a crawl in an extraction zone (ticket logged), and that was on a 7970 OC board... Only seemed to do it in that one location though; visited tens of other sites without any problems.

serves you right for using it incorrectly they're called notebooks for a reason

putting it on your lap blocks the heating vent

No it doesn't thats why it called a LAP TOP the heating vents are to the sides not out the bottom because its a LAP TOP!

Liquid cooling is the only way to go! - My radiator is outside and even with its three fans it's still cool and quiet running at the slowest rpm

The PC it replaced sounded like a dyson and collected dust like a dyson, those were the days!

Sounds like someone doesn't clean the dust out of their computer's heat sinks very often...
yeah, a case for Techsupportgore I bet.
