My obsession

I'm gaining ranks quickly with my obsession for this game.

I'm not usually an obsessive person, but I'm been waiting for this for so so long. Its got me hooked and it ain't letting go. Nothing wrong with a some positive obsession.;):D

I hear ya.

I lurked around here for ages but my enthusiasm for the game has steadily increased with each Newsletter and progress video. :) Plus the forum is just a cool place to hang out, I've discovered. :p

The community helps a lot. The Lave Radio Boys, the Writers, Psykokow's antics, Mobius's artwork, the Drabble Thread, wondering what Alien's going to say next to name a few.

It is very important to be obsessional if we really want to be in total immersion in Elite. When we put a finger in the gear, it's over, we become obsessed

This is one of the best forums on the net, everyone is helpful and friendly. So it's kind of ironic we'll be killing each other in only a matter on months.

Fear my 1Mw pulse laser!

I will chase you from one end of known space to the other destroy your ship take your cargo, then join you for a beer and a chat afterwards:) (Sounds like my ideal day...)

the waiting has finally some light on the horizon.
I've been waiting for this game for years.
in fact I haven't been playing games for years.
its a bit like David describes , the big producers think what people like to play.
NOT.
so yes , I am obsessive about Frontier Dangerous.
once a week I'm a bartender and I tell every one who want to know of Elite Dangerous.
some of them have played Elite/Frontier/FFE in the past.
there eyes light up just by the thought of being able to experience it again.
what disappoints me a bit , is that it seems the world is hardly reporting about it.
quite often you can pre order games in advance.
I wonder what's keeping Frontier from starting a commercial campaign?
ah well they are the professionals , I guess I'm just to impassioned.
and all will be fine.

Yeah, that's about where I'm at too. :p

I was obsessed by the original game and that was nearly thirty years ago. I am obsessed now. My kids call me obsessed. Maybe I should change my Commander name to Obsessed.

It's really nice to see games uniting people like this. My experience with games over the past few years, especially game forums has been largely negative. People wanting to assert their entitlement or superiority over others, berating one another and the developers and generally just making a real mess of any kind of civil, open discussion. The Elite forums and to a slightly lesser extent the Subscriber forums for Star Citizen are a very welcome change from the usual profanity and trolling I've encountered.

The forums here are generally a very civil place, I agree. Typically even when people disagree it's done with some class. Usually. ;)

I see that Americans have the same negative experiences of forums, and in the Elite forums they have a breath of fresh air. More personally, I am very happy when I see posts from Missouri, Arizona, Texas and I think we do not see enough of Americans on the Frontier forums. Guys, to make the advertising for the game in the U.S.. It will be good to see of posts of New york, California, Dakota, Washington ect ...

I have a small number of gamer friends in my immediate circle, but I try to proselytize ED as much as possible where I frequent. I just posted a link to David's procedural generation video on the Star Citizen forums the other day when the subject came up. :D
