Voice Attack - Free Standing Mic

Hi,

As per the title, I wondered if anyone uses Voice Attack with a free standing desk mic?

I have a headset (HyperX Cloud) which has a mic, but I don't fancy wearing these when I play Elite and was looking for alternatives.

Possibly a head worn mic, but these don't seem to popular.

Thanks & Regards

I'm using a free standing mic...

Needed to do some things though to make it work reliably:
1) Train the voice recognition very well.
2) Don't put up the speakers volume too high.
3) Keep VA commands simple and easy to distinguish.

Thanks for the replies.

How about one of these:

Plugged into this:

Then you simply connect it to an open USB port on your PC.

Disclaimer: I think this will work, but I have not tried it myself.

Thanks, however slightly on the pricey side at the moment.

if i'm not using my headset i use one of these.

clips to my clothing mostly.

It works great for a cheap item.
(I bought it as a test item tbh,but i am impressed how good it is for the price.)

Did see some of these when searching and they seem pretty cheap. Might be the way to go for a trial at those prices.

Out of interest, how close are you to the mic? I was thinking of having it standing right behind my keyboard.

I bought one of the cheapest freestanding mics I could find. Small base, flexible stem about 10cm long. I stick the base into the neck of my shirt and point the mic up to my mouth. Works a treat.
