Infinite Suply Trade Route and Commodity Duping

Insanely profitable traderoute? people with fully loaded haulers?

*hoists black flag, paints skulls on eagle then spreads word of a pirate gold rush*
95% of the traders on that route are on solo, maybe even more. For a good reason too, its an absolute mad house over there. I saw some Conda with a Viper friend just shooting at everybody, other player parties showing up. It was crazy, and very fun.

They just did something to the luxury spot. Now when you drop out of frameshift, you see the ships for a moment but then they vanish and you seem to be under the effects of a repulsor field. I guess the fun is over.

this has always happened with most, not all, nav points. They are just relocating and it takes about twenty to thirty minutes for the nav point to go back to normal.

Have you ticketed the issue?

Like Fight Club, you don't talk about it, but since it's been brought up, those that have discovered it have ticketed it since way back when. That it made it to release and still exists suggest something that can't be easily fixed.

Good morning, Viet... uhmm... FDEV, when you get in your offices this monday morning, please check on this topic. Unless you intend the trading gameplay entirely trivialised.
Oh, and while you're at it, the T-9's jump range could use a reassessment, too. *points @ his sig & runs for cover*

I'm happy to see these very important topics earning their place in the forums - the missing background simulation, missions with no integrity, trading issues and other scripted elements.
Getting closer to the core where the most development is needed in ED with the highest priority.
Hope it helps FD to set up the priorities.

I did fly to Beta Sculptoris yesterday to check things out. (I play solo)
Some maths regarding Beta Sculptoris:
I've bought a type 6 ( all i could affort) Profit 1.5 m p/h (max 11 trips per hour)
That is more than 11 hours of non stop trading for the next ship (type 7 for 17 million with no upgrades)
A type 7 about doubles the income for 3 million p/h?
A type 9 cost 76 million (no upgrades) so that is another 20 hours of non stop trading before making profit you talk about of 600k per trip.
If you are making money for a fully upgraded Anaconda it will take you again about 15 to 20 hours of nonstop trading.
That is a lot of time and dedication and no fun at all.
If exploration did pay a little better a lot of people would spread out more often in the universe.
