I also like the part that you will always have to manually fly through a worm hole even if you already have the nav data
the nav data will tell you when the corners are coming up but you still need to fly around the corner your self

I have not heard this. Do you have a source?

Good

OK, so I've been more positive about this game of late, all based on reading stuff and watching videos, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating as the old proverb says.
So tonight I decided to set aside a couple of hours to get Arena Commander set up with my Warthog & Pedals, and generally have a fiddle around to try to get the best out of it possible.

And the verdict is in, the game is now very playable (in my opinion) compared to last summer. Yes, I switch COMSTAB on all of the time, then to do quick turns I decouple IFCS to pitch/roll/yaw then re-engage IFCS when pointing the right way - I am finding this to be working very well for me, and I am most pleased with the progress made since v0.8. There is still more work to be done for HOTAS/Joystick users though, as I think there is still much room for even more improvement.

It seems that aim can kept separate from headlook (good), all that is required now is a fix for TrackIR and I will be a very happy bunny.
I may even start investing some time trying to get better with the flight and combat....

Dunno if I'm doing something wrong, but I tried swapping out weapons on my 325a to have 3 ominskys, I'm sure I did it on the holotable thing. Went into AC, selected the 300i by mistake, came out back to hangar, game crashed :), went back in, selected my 325a, but I'd lost the omisnky on the front weapons hardpoint.
Do the weapons loadouts persist over different game sessions - or do they reset when you come out of the game completely, then restart it? Or perhaps the crash interfered with things?

EDIT: BTW, I really don't like the holotable interface, I'd really prefer something far simpler - but I can work with it, even if I do think it's overly confusing.

I wouldn't place bets on it. Although, I guarantee they'll have one of their "special" ship sales before that date to fleece even more cash.

Then the release date will be delayed even further.

I don't even pay attention to the ship sales anymore. I am looking forward to Squadron 42 which will be fun and I'll most likely be playing SC in my private server. (as a solo game) I don't really have any desire to play with a bunch of Goons. Did that for 10 yrs in Eve and no desire to do it again. Having fun playing ED of course but waiting on bug fixes and more content and toys like everyone else. But still nice to have space sims back again. And yeah I've been keeping a eye on No Man's Sky. Might be interesting.

Apologies if this has been discussed recently, quick one: I have read some posts suggesting AC combat instance management at the moment is "peer to peer" much like Elite´s? I havent been able to find any info on CIG´s forum on this regard, and my understanding was that CIG had already decided combat instances will be central server managed no? Anyone that may have any relevant links?

Might be a bit old but without re-reading it again, I think it will all be based on a few central servers (EU, NA, Asia?++): https://robertsspaceindustries.com/...s-On-Multiplayer-Single-Player-And-Instancing

In other news: Star Citizen hit 71 million, and Pedro uploaded an extended version of the Arena Commander theme:
