If you'd like to get an idea of how I write before Elite: Lave Revolution is released and like fantasy adventure stories, this might be a book for you.

I was reading the first Wisimir book (until my Kindle broke) and I was enjoying it, it is a good read. I certainly recommend it if you enjoy the sword & sorcery genre.

I like the sword ans sorcery genre :) I will read this book ;)

If I can find the file from a Kindle app and Calibre it across to my Nook (Kindles suck :p ), and if I ever finish the Game of Thrones books, then I'll give it a bash... thank you. :)

As you say, if I can get this into an epub or some such I'd love to give it a read.

Beware! It's a con! The book is so good that as soon as you finish you'll immediately want to buy the sequel ;) :p

I was enjoying the book, it had an urban gritty feel which I liked. The characters were drawn in realistic pen strokes and the whole feel had a grounded reality.

And yet one thing I found nagged at me, it kept tripping me up, and it was the use of real world language or swearing. Somehow reading people swearing in English, just snaps me out of the scene every time! I found this annoying and it stopped me reading further. I'm not trying to be petty as I don't like to cast a bad light on a good book. Especially from what is, after all a minor quibble but it really wasn't that minor to me as it really started to irritate me.

Shame, because apart from that I was enjoying it.

I've moved on from fantasy (used to love the genre but rarely read it nowadays), so take my opinion with a grain of salt. ;)

I read the first part a while ago, but I don't remember being annoyed by the cursing. I did like the plotting - it was obviously very well thought out. My little criticism was aimed mostly at the characters who seemed a bit undeveloped, making the story plot-driven rather than character-driven. I will not spoil it here, but if you've read the novel, you can check my review here:

Please note that on Goodreads, 2 stars means "it's ok". That's the reason why I gave this book 3 stars on Amazon, where the rating system is different. (Although, now that Amazon has bought Goodreads, I wonder how long it will take for them to change that and make both rating systems equal...)

It has been said before, but it is worth pointing out some of the swear words are the oldest words in our language.

It is also a technique employed by other writers. I made a conscious choice owing to the lead taken by people like Joe Abercrombie.

This article is also, worth a read: "Knights Who Say **** (The F word) on Tor.com Link to Google search for article.

Yes, I read your review Marko.

And I must support this decision as well. It is better to show than tell, after all (rather than say "he cursed", you actually show him doing it - it makes the whole thing stronger and more focussed).
