Earth-Like Worlds

Does anyone else get a rush when you find one ?

Yes. and it's now the only thing I'm looking for. I found one that looks just about like that one. Even though the planet specs fall into that narrow ELW band it still looks more like a "water-world" to me.

weirdly, the first time i went exploring, i found a load of them & numerous water worlds, terraforming candidates, and GG's with life. made an absolute killing - well over a million and i'd only gone to the Plaedies and back, and only bothered scanning when i saw possible moneymakers / GG's...so i sstarted thinking they were pretty common.

the next time i went exploring, spent probably twice as long and far and found only one waterworld and maybe a half dozen GG's with life. that's it. probably less than 200k all in made.

so i guess i just got really lucky first time round...!

I've been tracking my discoveries on the "elite spreadsheet". Based on my own finds I'd wager the galaxy-wide ELW distribution to be at an incredibly high 1%. Or... I've just been incredibly lucky.

Hopefully it's the latter. Time and data will tell.

You've been incredibly lucky.

I've scanned over 3,500 systems and made around 48 million credits, yet I have found less than 50 ELW, which would be around 1.4% IF there was only one astronomical body I had scanned in each system, which most definitely is not the case. Yeah I also ignore stars that are unlikely to have them too, so if you have a number around 1%, cross your fingers that your luck remains good.
