Hey there! I had a question of lore and thought this might be the place to ask -- apologize in advance if it isn't.

For the people out there way more versed in Elite's 'verse, is there any sort of FBI agency in either of the 3 major factions?

Independent of the factions, there used to be Interpol, GALCOP and INRA.. but I don't know if that's still in the lore. Hope that helps.

In answer, yes there are. A number of the books discuss the work of intelligence operatives, whether working for the major factions or for the large corporations. In terms of naming said organisations, a few ideas have been talked about over the last two years, but for the most part, no sure precedent on this was set. Personally, I favour anachronisms that aren't variations on the popular modern three-letter/number ones we have.
