Hostile from day dot

I wonder if any one else has Hostile in every Fed system ? Let me expand :


I came in as a mercenary player from thrithick Dock i believe this was my spawn dock unaware for a time ( nearly two weeks ) i had a Eagle some where close and it was Free, Any ways i started with my sidy and picked every and any job on the board all on price it was mostly rebel comms and black box's well i played away just constantly doing this just willy nilly going in and out of stations on delivery any ways got a load of fines and got treated bad all over my home system.

So i moved, The near by independent system offered ease of picking without the constant threat so as the game and me developed i would sneak in and out of the Fed sys and docks ect'. i had to use otherwise i would just use Independent station as i got to know the game i sussed i may have messed up, so i have been on a mission to clear my name. i have paid all outstanding fines from all systems have no bounty's have got some un friendly Fed contacts but on the whole i am hunted by the Fed since launch, I even did some ranking for the Feds to petty officer i just cannot seem to get a neutral rep :(

  1. A mercenary is any person who: (a) is especially recruited locally or abroad in order to fight in an armed conflict; (b) does, in fact, take a direct part in the hostilities;

When i come across any Fed ship Authority wise it immediately displays the i'm a criminal and wanted ?? Please i'm clean, Honest :) Any ideas guy's

Tough. Actually takes a lot of effort to make a whole faction hate you.

Well, grats!

My guess is you have to find a Federation platform and run buckloads of missions for them (and by "them" I mean the Fed corporation of the system, not some independent corporation also posting missions) to "heal" your rep? Do this in multiple systems perhaps?

The only effort that is needed is getting cargo scanned once with contraband. There is a bug that will switch you to hostile with the feds and any faction that is alligned with the feds in the whole galaxy. So it is quite easy to achieve, just try to smuggle something :D

Yep, my status is 'hostile' with the feds, and it happened very soon after getting a permit to Sol, meaning that just prior to this they thought I was a pretty good bloke. I'm fairly sure that getting caught with stolen goods turned that around. One of those stolen goods was 'rebel plans' and I guess they took a dim view of that.

At first this annoyed me but it didn't take long for me to see the upside of it. Now the game is way more fun, knowing that there are areas I have to be on guard and that if I find myself in the wrong place at the wrong time I get swarmed. Missions undertaken in Fed space are a lot more intense. It has given me an enemy to focus on, and a reason to 'pew pew' as it is called. To make it even sweeter I was starting to dislike the manner of the feds anyway - at least the empire pretend to be polite.

So now I am busy building favour with the empire as I don't want the entire galaxy to hate me. Now I know what to avoid to make an enemy out of them to my imperial rep is building fast.

My advice - don't sweat it - embrace it. Head off to imperial space and start over

Spot on Cmdr FalconFly, i was try'n to do a whole load of missions for rep only to constantly be fired upon exiting or going in for dock, i am a master of cold flyn and fast docking but took so much tension *real life* just to get about on missions they have sent me on * for god's sake, Can the Ai not scan and ascertain you have urgent medical supplies and food for their own citizens? , doesn't seem right they stop help ask'd for by their own ppl).

So after losing ships and gargo and even more rep i have moved to an Alliance system no hassle no constant threat when checking uss or stations and getting pulled out of cruise, Nope, life of riley now, managed to get two station with a wee trade route not to greedy ( they turned green and welcome me :) . ) close by small fuel costs decent profit for run got friends got allies got ppl who are offering me some sweet deals.

So all the permits i gained in one evening for sol, ect.. after having paid off all fines and did loads of rep missions only to get the permits and "Un friendly" instead of hostile in a couple of stations, Adios mi enemigo, no regresara !!!!

Ah Cmdr 5thNovember, we face the same situ, and yep don't sweat it embrace it has be my fortune, as i also jumped clear of the Fed system's got my self sorted with the Alliance and all is good, would be cool to meet up and go on a wee pay back mission or two may as-well be hostile for a reason :)

I'm in exactly the same situation. Hostile since day 1. It's a total pain being chased into every station.
I'm still flying a Cobra, because I've spent pretty much all my earnings on charity missions. All I've managed to achieve is to get a couple of Federation sub-factions up to "unfriendly".
Despite all this, I've risen to the rank of "Post Commander" within the Federation.
I've just reached Empire space, where I intend to move. Permanently. And I'll try not to get caught doing anything remotely illegal this time!

It takes a lot more effort to repair you reputation than to ruin it. Sounds like you have burnt your bridges.

Reputation moves towards neutral over time but can't you get missions from a Fed faction in a system controlled by another faction so you aren't hostile in that system/station and build your rep ftom there?

Sounds good mate. My cmdr name is Yakass (feel free to send a friend invite), and I'd be more than happy to meet up and cause some grief for the Feds. I'd be particularly keen to do it in Sol. We may have to wait for Wings though, because right now I really struggle with the comms system :-/

Anyhow, if you do want to build up federation rep, go to outposts, not stations, since there's no cops to scan you and turn hostile on you. And be prepared to do a very, very large number of missions... you'll want to change outposts anytime your base rep with a local faction (the one you see after mission turn-in) goes to Allied.

It's just a hard slog to get even close to being reasonably safe with cargo ect, getting pulled and gunned down with a shed load of food and rep cargo on board, gives a sense of failure and hostility a few times more it's F this and go and enjoy the game in another system, work'd for us and revenge is sweet when we all have million pound ships with A class arrangements and full defensive deployment, it will be carnage and hopefully be felt throughout the system, there is a plan brewing :)

And all that have the "same" grievance are welcome to sign up for '' The day Sol stood still " :) I wonder do the stations explode ??

I do love this game and those nice Frontier support chaps and or lassies credited me Cr's for my mysterious station death.
