A reasonable broadband tax is okay to me, in principle, *IF* the money raised was all used to improve infrastructure, particularly to rural places. And no, I don't live in a rural place, so I don't say it for personal reasons. However, my fear would be that, as ever, some money would be wasted, some appropriated for other uses, the price would go up with no explanation, etc... not that I'm cynical.
