Perhaps there will have some but I think it must also be done alone (SP online mode)![]()
I think that there shouldn't be missions that are geared only for groups. Rather, solo missions should scale up depending on how many friends you're flying with. I don't like it when there's content I can't access in MMOs just because I have limited time to devote to guilds. Even games that try to foster on the fly grouping tend to fail (looking at SWtOR). Then you're getting like 3/4 of the game you've paid for instead of all of it just because you're a friendless scmuck.![]()
Yeh I can see that... Just as long as you can carry out some mission at least as a group of friends, that would be cool! eg: An escort mission!
Yes but if I play solo I want to have these missions replace real player with NPC.![]()
if you don't have multiplayer missions why make an mmo?
ED is not a MMO![]()
hmmm.... play online line in the same space as a load of other people that you can, if you choose, interact with. nothing at all like an mmo then.

I tend to agreebut I'd imagine the game is going to be a lot of fun doing missions with friends.
Yeah, of course. But, sincerely, if the only way to have fun with the game is to play in a group, IMHO the game will have failed.

Yeah I do agree entirely. I like playing with friends or other people when it suits me. The moment it becomes a requirement or necessity is when it starts to become a chore.
I think when people say it's not a MMO, they mean to say while it's multiplayer ( Or Flexiplayer as someone called it) it's not massively multiplayer, comparable to say EVE or WoW.

When I dock and check the bulletin board, talk to NPCs, or however I acquire a mission in the game, I would expect there to be missions I couldn't do for various reasons. Not enough cargo space, ship too slow, not well armed enough, and no doubt things like reputation with the wrong faction.
Adding 'mission requires a certain number of players' to that list needn't mean that there are any less suitable missions for a single player to have a go at. Just increase the total missions slightly, rather than spreading the different mission types more thinly.
Seeing missions that I can't do in my current situation but that look tempting would encourage me to try other ships, other equipment and other 'roles'. Likewise a wouldn't mind trying to put together a small team of friends to have a go at multiplayer missions for a while. It would just be one of the many career paths you could choose to switch between.
