Well they are at only 53k and 65k ls right now, but it's the year 3301 in ED, and still only 0.063 ly out.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it should be closer to 100,000 ls by 3300. When I first saw this thread I was hoping it was Planet X or something.
Voyager 1 is currently about 1.954x1010 km from Earth and is traveling at 56,327 km/h. By 3301 it should be 6.545x1011 km from Earth, which is 2.183 million ls. Its distance in-game is spot on.
The problem is that Voyager's subsystems won't last until 3301. By about 2025, diminishing power and hydrazine levels will prevent further operation.

Well...may be once FS drives were figured out some one took a trip out there and gave it a brand new battery.
