Mercenaries of Mikunn - The Background Simulation and Colonization Test

Is Mapor the closest place to by an ASP? I'm thinking of stripping the parts of the Clipper and leaving it docked somewhere close by kitting out an ASP so I can actually be useful again. Who know maybe large ships will be able to interact with small stations sometime in the near future.

If Mapor have them, then yes. Herreshoff doesn't, only pythons.

Downloaded Beta 1.1 today to test some stuff out and see what they did to the Python.

But before I did any testing I made a charector called The Duke and went and discovered Mikunn and a few surrounding systems, it would seem I was the first and it will now be set in stone for the Mercs.

The incoming update is going to be magical and has many new features to try out guys, oh and in-case your wondering, the python is now 260/260 shields/armour.

So discoveries in the beta of previously discovered systems will carry over to the "real universe" when 1.1 drops? I thought it was going to be retroactive.

Greetings Everyone. Saw what you guys were doing and I was hoping I could join in and help.

Faction shifting seems pretty interesting and I'd definitely like to see how we can shape things with our own hands. I'm just getting into the game, but am doing decently at trading, so I have a Cobra and Type 6. Haven't really tried much of anything else game-wise.

Might you be interested in having me and how can I help? I apologize if the answers are obvious, I'm still uncertain on how everything works around here.

Absolutely. Once you make it to Mikunn I will add you.

Hey Soda your news report hit galnet :)

Thanks for the heads up. I was hoping it would be the cat stuck in a drain pipe story. Looks like it's the one announcing the now ended blockade. I better write up an update.

Talking about update, here's the latest
No visible movement on Influence except Dynamic Commodities, which went up 0.2%. Law Party still says 16.5, but with a down arrow. Dukes at 32.5% still but with an up arrow, Silver and Future unchanged at 9.3% and 5.5% respectively. Note, we've gone from 99.9% to 100.1% due to rounding errors.
What's interesting are the State changes. Law Party is OUT of Lock Down, and Silver is IN Civil Unrest. I find that one surprising, since I never saw CU in Pending for Silver.

Better this way:
HR Dynamic 36.3% Current: None. Pending: Civil Unrest & Lock Down
Dukes 32.5% Current: Boom. Pending: Boom, Expansion & Civil War Critical
Law Party 16.5% Current: None. Pending: Civil Unrest & Lock Down
Silver Society 9.3% Current: Civil Unrest
Future HR 5.5% Current: None. Pending: None

Edit: I tried to clarify that Law party is pending lock down, not currently in it. Also, here's the new Press Release updating the situation: http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=101801&page=12&p=1710228&viewfull=1#post1710228

It popped up under pending with lockdown a few days into the beginning of the siege. It showed up quickly for law but took awhile for it (or for me to notice) to pop for silver. They are unfriendly to me now too hah

Edit: Oh btw law was in civil unrest not lockdown. The story has the news how it was resolved.
Doubleedit!!: interestingly the news also runs a story how the unrest at friendship was resolved. Did they have a quick civil unrest that was resolved?
And in my screen for pending Law has civil unrest Civil war and lockdown. Silver has pending civil unrest and lockdown.
The news about the the resolution of the civil unrest on Gabriel station says that 70% of the people there are unhappy with Law.
With both of us with pending civil war and 70% disapproval rate...maybe :)

What is the situation with landing in hostile stations in Beta?
If we won't be able to land in HR, should we improve our relations with factions while we still have time?

Best you could do at this moment is getting allied with the dukes first, and then run Missions from or to HR for the Duke only.
Another thing you could do is getting Performance Enhancers in Mapor and bring them to the Seeking Luxuries in Mikunn.

Do not trade with the Market in HR for the Moment. Once we get a Station in HR (War will brake out in one Week) you could trade to that station. But for the Moment, no regular Trading in HR please

Here's the original submission to the official GalNet. Unfortunately, it's way over the 150 word limit, so I had to severely cut it down. I much prefer the original.

Spassky's Inheritance, Mikunn

PRESS RELEASE

FEB 5, 3301 - Spassky's Inheritance, Mikunn: The Dukes of Mikunn, in their mercy, have ended the blockade of Gabriel Station in HR 7327. The sanctions successfully weakened the dictatorial Law Party, leading to a substantial loss of influence, thus placing the station on the verge of regime change. Independent commanders supporting the Dukes, known as the "Knights of Mikunn" will shift their efforts to carrying out Missions for the Dukes. These errands of mercy will bring order and a sense of normalcy back to the people of Gabriel Station in these troubled times.

Ships will once more be allowed to dock at Gabriel Station, but are still discouraged from accepting Law Party contracts. For the safety of all private traders, their Graces the Dukes suggest staying clear of HR 7327 due to ongoing civil unrest and limited hostilities. Traffic should be routed to the neighboring systems of Sukua, Kwatee and of course, Mikunn. Commanders interested in toppling the dictatorship of the Law Party should make their way to Mikunn and contact Commanders Lucifer Wolfgang, Calomiriel, or his Lordship the Count of Monte Fisto.

The expansion of the Dukes of Mikunn into HR 7327, and subsequent gains in the system have been accomplished through the support of many independent pilots. The reins of power of HR 7327 shifting to the Dukes of Mikunn will mark the first time in recent history a minor faction has successfully expanded from its home system, and taken over a neighbor. Many say this is an impossible task. The Knights of Mikunn wish to prove them wrong.
