I know there is a discount on ship purchase at Founders world...


Does that 10% discount also extend to parts, components and weapons?

I believe you needed to have been a founder, as in an early backer of the game. I backed in Kickstarter so have that permit. I'm not sure if it can be earned in-game. I hadn't realised that purchases were discounted there, and that might help when I start to buy more expensive ships.

I think I heared rumors about getting the founders permit once you get an elite rank, but i cant confirm it or remember where i heared it :/.

You can earn the required permit. My friend who bought the game retail did just that. Not sure of Rank requirement, but certainly not Elite as he was still in a Type 6 (saving for a 7) when he got access IIRC.

It's Shinrarta Dezhra. Easiest to find as it's next to Bunda (much easier to type in the navigation thingy).

Could you throw us non beta/backers a bone and just say how many ways there is to acquire a permit for here please? I'm not asking for any disclosed info, just if we are on the right track as rank being one of them?

I have the founder's world permit and am neither a kickstarter backer nor Elite. I think in my case I got it because I purchased on release day (not sure though).

Btw: what happens without permit? Does the star system disappear on the galaxy map? Do you become wanted or shot down upon entering? Are you disallowed to land inside the station?

It's locked out of the nav computer and you can't hyperspace jump to it.
