Small features you would like to see.

Since 1.1 comes out today, and it is (mostly) a few changes and tweaks to make the game better ;
What kind of small features would you wish to be added?

I want these following changes ;

Extra high sec systems - Police will arrive after 20 seconds (mostly very wealthy and important systems like Sol, Alioth, Lave etc)

More commodities : Chocolate (rare good at sol? :p) Towels (cant go to space without them) Jewelry etc.

Old Beta Voice acting - I don't know if its just me but i loved the old ship computer voice back in Beta, i miss it really. It would be awesome if we could switch from the beta one and the new one.

Decals - If you are allied with a faction (an independent or the 3 major powers) it will be possible for you tro have their logo as a decal on your ship. For independent systems it would just be their name in various fonts.

More variety in NPCs - NPCs are too predictable. It would be cool to see some crazy npc dock super fast in a station or an NPC in a ring making a grid minefield for whatever reason.
I just don't want to see the same thing over and over again.

The alliance - The alliance do not have a loading icon in starport services (Like the empires bird or the federations star system) it does also not have an own voice actor for the starport announcer (which isn't so illogical actually, but it could still have some variety)

Factions - Currently you do only see ships from factions that are established in the system you are in.
It would be nice if you could see a ship from a faction 50LY away.
I believe it would make it feel like the NPCs actually had a life.

Permit systems - Currently there is little reason to go to a system you got a permit to.
You will never get to do the mission they told you to do (because bugs)
and only a few of them have rares.
We need to get a reason to get to these systems except the pure pilgrim tour.

I would like to be able to play the original Elite on my HUD when I am doing a long run to a station 100000's+ LS's away or exploring new systems out in the void :)
 
Auto repair systems reloadable via mined metals/minerals instead of 'ammunition'...and able to repair any system (including hull). That would be great for exploration. (Maybe coupled with more wear and tear on systems)
 
lol, downloading "celebrity" voices or mimics for the ships computer. FD could even make some money out of it. People do it for their Sat Navs.
 
a new kind of weapon system like the cargo hatch opener, but for disrupting other systems

oh, and the option to collect bounties without killing anyone, but by immobilizing them and calling a police spacecraft to let them collect the evildoers^^

NPC voice actors (hell, my sat nav app on my phone has an option for about 30 different voices of various accents to download)

External view (I get the realism argument, I really do, but the spaceflight engine has already gone for playability over physics)

Passenger missions (Does that count as a small change? It feels like it should be, relatively)
 
I'd like to roleplay as a copper. Whizzing around scanning smugglers and eating doughnuts.

Yeah... Police licenses were something I expected to be in on launch. Pretty simple really.

As for my own input? A working multi player aspect... :rolleyes:

Audio dialog with npcs and stations, instead of text

That would be really nice, unfortunately quality voice-over work is expensive, especially for the amount they'd need for it to not be too repetitive.

Personally I'd like the ability to name your ship and some more cosmetic customisation options.
 
Also roleplay as station cmdrs, scanning and nerfing smugglers and varmints. But not with external visuals, scanning radar only so smugglers etc can still sneak in.
