Really as the title states.
I have got a new PC built for ED but i dont yet have a monitor setup.
Do people think i'd be better to buy 2/3 monitors or just go for a 46" led tv??
... I'm not sure on whether or not we're supporting multiple monitors for rendering the cockpit across three monitors for example though.

And since the game will be with me in Dec... OR will have to be a present for another day

Or every 6 months or so add another 46" TV ... imagine 3 of them, side by sideI would go for a central 46" LED/LCD TV with two smaller monitors on either side...

Monitors, since a TV (unless you're going to really splash out on a 4k) has terrible resolution at only 1080p.
If FD do it right (no reason to suggest they won't) then the big beast would be used for the Primary view and console view and then a pair of monitors either side for other bits and pieces and perhaps side views?

We have no plans to implement any sort of MFD placement feature in the way you describe. The MFDs we do have are fixed in their location within the cockpit geometry (which you can't toggle off btw so you're only going to be able to see these MFDs if your looking front and centre out of your ship. I'm not sure on whether or not we're supporting multiple monitors for rendering the cockpit across three monitors for example though.
Why stop at three...
